Well after 4 nights at work and God only knows how many miles walked around the facility, I'm down two more pounds and I can really start feeling my legs getting stronger. I've had to order new pants from the uniform service, 42's are just looking silly on me. I'm wearing some old 38's that I had from the last time I was down to this weight. They fit NICE now ! I hope to be wearing them for only a short time though. The new ones I ordered from the uniform service are 36's. The ultimate goal size is ???

Great job on the sizes! The incredible shrinking man! I really can't document my change from a 26 to a 12 (at Ann Taylor) that well because I wore transitional stretch pants or track pants most of the time after my 26s and 24s stopped fitting. Then I bought some 14 and 16 jeans and shorts. Then 16 shorts literally fell off while I was crossing the street and a quick grab at the fabric is the only thing that saved me from losing them in the road. Then a few weeks ago found out a 12 petite pant fit. It's a great feeling going down in sizes and the only bad thing for you is that you are going to be buying pants that you will only be wearing a few weeks. I guess its worth it though!

The nice thing is that the uniform service is provided by work so it doesn't cost me anything to get smaller pants. Like most of us I have PLENTY of multiple sizes in my wardrobe. I do need to pick up some new jeans but I'm going to wait a while to do that. Right now I'm living in sweats around the house and several pairs of Dockers that kinda fit.

Well the 38" waist pants stick around very long and the 36's fit nice. I'm doing well and now I'm lookng forward to my next mini-goal of 235.

Life's been very strange the last year working nights and while I've still been able to make a little progress I'd like to be much further along than I am. The positive thing is that I'm over 70 pounds lighter than I was 2 years ago and in much better health. I've completely cleaned out my wardrobe of clothes that didn't fit and it's been a very good experience. I'm looking forward to reaching goal, whenever it happens, and being diciplined enough to keep it off. Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Back to being Anal Retentive

Postby ktrout » January 31st, 2008, 10:42 am

While I never really fell off the wagon I haven't been completely back on track either. Maintaining at an overall loss of 50-60# certainly made me pretty happy. I've recently made some progress and got back on track with a low-impact exercise and healthy eating. I got on the scale this morning and was down another two pounds from Sunday's weigh in. This puts me at 75# since starting and a real happy camper. My wife, who tried but didn't like MF, has been on WW for a couple months and has lost 22# so far. She's happy, I'm happy. We all know the concept/benifits of happy spouses. We're both looking forward to Spring, warmer weather and our favorite walking trails being snow-free and usable. I've also been asked by my employer to take over a different building and that would put me back on a 5 days/first shift schedule. That would ALSO make my wife very happy.
