UGGHH..moved my keyboard and lost everything I just typed! Lets see if I can remember what the heck I wrote.....

Donica....thanks for checking in with me...don't worry I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I was in a seminar all day Friday for work and I'm using my daughter's computer at home (mine is broken) :hammer: and for some reason when I try to post something it gives me "invalid session."

Anyways, I work Thursday nights at the bar and I didn't do very well :dooh: It wasn't very busy, so I picked, I picked one onion ring up, I picked one wing up...etc..then Friday I wasn't able to get any shakes in, but first thing in the morning! Sooooooooooo when lunch came around instead of choosing salad, I chose a wrap! Needless to say, I was mad as heck at myself and felt awful. Woke up Saturday back in my complant mode and did good. Had to work at bar making prime rib dinners and didn't eat one greasy fry. Got lots of water all weekend and am feeling much better now. So the pound and a half that I wanted to add to my 8 to make 10 pounds for my first week disappeared, actually re-appeared, but I will make it this week.

How have you been doing. I have a lot of reading to catch up on..I will make sure I read your journal. Thanks for keeping me honest Donica!

Kelli~sounds to me like you handled the day pretty well. I'm not going to kid myself into thinking that there will never be a day that is going to be very difficult to stay compliant. The good news is that you got right back to it. You will be at that 10# goal in no time.

I'm right here with you Kelli, you and I are going to make it this time. By this time next year, we will both be looking mighty fine (probably before this time next year). I know we can do it, Kelli.

I'll try to write to you every day this week. Have a great day! Talk to you later.

Kelli,
Sorry you went through the bad picking day! So glad you got right back on and defied the fries on prime rib night!

For me it was such a learning process in the beginning, what was involved in me "picking." Was it boredom? Was it anxiety? Was it Stress? The most important thing is that it isn't the end of the world, that MF is right there for us and the next day is a new day!

Hope this week goes well for you!

DeDe...you are so right, its such a learning experience. I can tell you that the picking was due to boredom and usually that's the case with me, so I'll have to think of something to take with me on those not so busy nights.

I worked until 6:00 p.m. last night at my real job, but no biggie though because I had a shake to hold me over until I got home to eat my L&G. Was 100% compliant and I got down 100 ounces of wa-wa. Its funny cuz sometimes that water hits me all of a sudden and if it does get out of my way cuz I need to go!

I had a nightmare last night...dreamed I cheated BADLY...glad it was only in my sleep. As QT always says, I hope the weight loss fairy visited me....even though had such bad thoughts during my sleep!

I had nightmares too, all about pizza. I kept trying to eat it but it kept disappearing!

Hi Kelli~ Wow! eatmares! Can't say I have had one of those, but.....since it was brought up today.....I'll probably have one tonight. The power of suggestion!

Hope you're having a great day! Good job on getting all that water in. :water: Sometimes that can be really hard.

Keep up the good work!

What if I'm an eatdreamer too!??:scratchhead:

Okay, give me a gun :shoot: ...one of the girls I work with (who, by the way, gets on my nerves anyway) just popped popcorn and she came towards my office and before she could get to my door entrance I said NO! I guess I'll just savor the smell....like I have a choice as it is lingering!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » January 16th, 2007, 3:28 pm

Glad you defied the popcorn, no worse power of smell suggestion than popcorn! Good job!

As far as the food dreams (eatmares), I have 2 kinds. One is that I cheat badly (think DeDe locked in a buffet, you'll get the idea) and the other kind is interesting, like my past Russell Crowe feeding me grapes dreams! Not sure if that is my subconscious dealing with the wanting grapes or the wanting Russell, but it's all good! As long as I don't go sleepwalking looking for food OR Russell, I guess all is good!

You're doing great! The nibbles is a hard habit to break! I remember when I first started, I caught myself several times with a handful of nuts or M& M's or whatever in my mouth without even thinking...it's just such a habit at check in at the hotel or waiting at someone's house. I'm just glad I caught myself, saying "what are you chewing...spit it out!!!" That didn't last too long, I just tried to make myself more AWARE of what I was doing!

DeDe..I could deal with those kind of eatmares....I don't think I would be drawn to the food for some reason. :scratchhead:

Well worked late again last night, but only til 5:30 instead of 6:00 p.m. Had a shake at 3:50 (right after the popcorn incident  , but for some reason when I got home I was starving, so I drank another at 6:00 p.m. so it would hold me over until supper was ready...so I didn't pick at all. I made chicken marinated in Chivetta's (sp?) has no fat or calories. It must have been 10 degrees outside, snow blowing :uhuh: and I'm cooking my chicken on the BBQ grill, but it was worth it. Drank 120 ounces of water yesterday and of course, then watched American Idol!!

You are a much stronger and more determined woman than I am. No way would I have been outside under those conditions cooking anything.

I'm very proud of you for being able to pass on the popcorn. Popcorn is one of my favs. I have forbidden the eating of popcorn in my house for a while. At least until I can really get my bearings. Right now I only buy the boys snacks I don't like. ;) It's funny when microwave popcorn first came out, my whole family (the 4 of us) would share a bag. Now (prior MF), we each pop our own bag. Talk about super sizing! :whattha:
