Hurricane Wilma

Postby pumkiepoo » October 18th, 2005, 9:15 pm

All of you who pray, please pray for us floridians who have a hurricane headed our way. It's really sad because there are so many homes that still have not be repaired from last year. People get really rude and mean :x when storms come especially when it comes to gas. So keep us in your prayers, and pray it just goes out into the water and doesn't hit us at all.

I have guys here now putting up my hurricane shutters (they started at 7:30P) I also got sandbags at Home Depot those suckers were heavy.
Michael and I hopefully will be in Cleveland tomorrow since I work for the airline we are space available to get out of here, I have to pray we get on that plane, I love Florida bt this is my last year of this, I can't take the stress.

Get prepared punkipoo and protect your property and those you love.

I am on the gulf coast near St. Petersburg so I completely understand. You are right - people do get mean. I went to the gas station people were going wacko! Honking for no reason - as if that is going to make the gas pump faster...

Thankfully, I created a "hurricane box" at the beginning of the season so I have my water, food, batteries, flashlights, and candles... It is a great thing to be on medifast during a hurricane because you don't need heat to make your food! :)

I am just concerned because if the hurricane projections have it coming a bit nort it will be right in my direction. I am not going to leave my dogs in this apartment and Stetson (my university) will not allow us to bring our dogs to campus during an evacuation even if they are crated... Hopefully, this crappy apartment will be ok. It is scary though because my light fixtures shake when the bigfoot upstairs walks... what is going to happen with hurricane force winds!?!?!?

 Oh, my! Our knees will be red from praying for you all. I am so sorry to know that so many of you will be facing the storm - very scary!

We have no idea about the storms you face as we rarely get anything like that out west. Be safe! Take precautions!

Ladyhawke - grab that little Cutie of yours and get the heck outta Dodge! Give your nephew Jim a big old Medihug from the MakeMeThinner Gang!
