Ok so I cheated two nights in a row. But I was either having major PMS or I was accidentally pregnant again. Luckily, it was the first choice.

I also went on the scale. I thought I could stay off the darned thing until September 1st, but it didn't happen.

So... after a weekend of cheating and actually losing a pound by yesterday, I gained two back.

I have to stop this yo-yo dieting. I stay completely loyal to MF for one week, then I cheat. Then I am good for 4 days, then I cheat. And then I wonder why I am staying the same weight week after week. I feel wretched.

That's how I was feeling all last month and why I'm sort of beating myself up over Saturday. Sometimes it can be so hard, but we do have to stick with it! All of the up and down can't be good for us.

Well, I have been 100% compliant and have even had 100 ounces of water a day. I am not cheating again until my Mother's birthday party on the 26th. We are going to PF Chang's and I won't be able to pass up their Mongolian Beef!

Well, I did great for 3 days. At the end of day 3, I felt weak and tired, and I was salivating any time someone at my job would bring their lunch back to their desk. Aunt Flo is visiting, and I seem to have really bad hunger pains at that time.

I am not sure if my body was telling me that I was finally about to have a huge loss again, or I was just starving to death.

And if I was so hungry, I should have had another shake.

But no, I had a cupcake, potato chips and pizza for dinner.

I am so mad. Because I WAS about to have a big loss- I was so compliant with MF for 3 days, did extra water--- and then my body tricked me into thinking I was starving. And I believed it, so I ate.

So now I have to go through the first three days again. Dammit.

What can I do to mentally ignore these "hunger pains" that happen on every third day of this diet?

Like you said, have an extra shake. Have TWO extra shakes if you need to. Other than that, there's no magic key. You have to just make yourself do it. There's no other way.

I agree with Robin--You have to make yourself do it--it is as simple as that!

The times I have cheated I have felt so bad afterwards that it just isnt worth it to me to cheat anymore.

You can do it! Just remember how great you are going to look in Myrtle Beach!! BTW-Fire Island at Barefoot Landing is a great new restaurant! They have great L&G's there!! I had the kabobs yuummmm!!

Just like everyone has already said ... You have to JUST DO IT. Maybe try a different approach. If you're truly hungry then have more MF food with no limitations. Trust me, after you binge on MF, you're not likely to repeat it. ;)

I was thinking... this problem with MF started when I got home from my vacation 2 weeks ago. I decided to "speed up" my weight loss by ONLY doing shakes. I cut out the oatmeal and bars. But this has caused a problem becuase I am hungry a lot. So when I crave chocolate at 1:00, a bar would satisfy me, but I have a shake. And then I still have the desire to chew on chocolate. And that is usually when I end up cheating.

I wish I could be one of those people who only do shakes. But I need the bars. The bars keep me from cheating.

So I just ordered more bars- I have none at all. Plus I ordered some chili instead of having the cream of chicken soup- maybe I will feel full after eating those.

I can't do just shakes, either. I find the oatmeal and the chili and even the broccoli soup much more filling. Plus just mentally, I find them more satisfying because I actually ATE something.

Yeah- I thought that was a good idea until I was starving all day long and felt like I hadn't eaten in days. I would rather eat the bars and lose 2-3 a week than just shakes and lose 5 but feel starved.

I did order two weeks worth of bars. I can always make a small extra order of stuff if the shakes don't work for me. hmm.

Have you tried making the medifast brownie?? Nancy posted the recipe in the lean cuisine a while back. It might help with the munchies, and not be as toxic (just my opinion) as the bars.
