I don't know if I'd recommend it, but when I get salt cravings before my period, I actually eat salt. I have some gourmet sea salt from Hawaii, big black salt crystals, and I'll have a couple of them. Sounds wierd, but it keeps me from eating potato chips or 3-4 bags of soy crisps.

Hey XMAS!

I do for sure! It starts about a week and half before. I just want to eat more. Then, I start craving chocolate and salty stuff like chips. I am PMSing right now. My weight loss also comes to a halt. So. we'll see if that happens again this month. :(

Hang in there girl!!!!

So.....I still feel bloated as hell but I stayed on board. I did have two packets of soy crisps. Damn those things!!!!!! I had a lo-cal version of a Philly Cheesesteak for dinner- fried onions and peppers, 4 oz of chopped lean steak and 1 oz of fat-free cheddar. I hope that was ok. I couldn't find out how to mix meat and cheese correctly. But it was Yum-O!

I went bra shopping today. I am happily back to a 38C. I was wearing a 40D during pregnancy and for several months after. Bleh. I spent like $175 on 8 bras. Is that good? The smallest I have been is a 36B, and that was at 130 pounds, right after my breast reduction in 1994.

I still feel bloated. Do you think extra water will help or hurt?

Hi XMAS...I decided to read your journal from the beginning and really enjoyed it. I so do what you do...I'll do good, feel good about myself, and reward myself with "normal" food. And then of course I don't feel so good about myself. At least one thing I can say for you is have definitely been honest and accountable. I felt so guilty about the yo-yo dieting that I was too embarrassed to be part of this forum, but I like your approach much better. I've been in contact with Nancy the past 3 weeks and she has made me accountable so i think that helps a lot.

My husband left for Myrtle Beach this morning for Fall Bike Week...we go there in the spring too....makes it nice because my mother lives there. I'm stuck here working while he plays...but leaving for Cancun on the 12th so I guess I can't complain!

I don't know if more water would help or not to tell you the truth, I would just make sure you got enough water.

Extra water usually helps bloating because it causes you to flush more.

Yup...what Carrie said. And I think that $175 for 8 bras is great! That's less than $22 per bra. Good job! Great NSV, too--that you need new bras. I just told my DH that I needed new bras and wasn't that great? He started to "woohoo" with me, but then stopped and said, "Well...that could be a good thing or it could be a bad thing..." So I gently explained that I needed a smaller size around, not a smaller cup size--and then he "woohoo'd" on his own. Men.

Hey XMAS!

Thanks for intervening on the other thread. You did the right thing.

I'm jealous about the bras! That is awesome! I am not very blessed in the boob area, so I'm not to happy about losing what little I have. :|

Hunger and bloating better by now? I think you just transfered it to me via computer! I had 3 bags of soy crisps yesterday! Yikes!

Your doin' great XMAS... keep shakin it girl!

I've decided to stay off the scale for awhile. I know when I'm doing good so I don't need to step on that metal square :lightbeam: to sabbotage myself. It will be a little difficult to stay on plan since I'm leaving for Cancun on Thursday, but I know I'll be aware of whats going in my mouth.

Don't feel bad I'm bloating myself...Aunt Flo is visiting!!! I'm trying the water thing :beerbeer: , but that doesn't seem to be working.

Well after one whole week of angelic medifast behavior, I had two slices of pepperoni pizza on Monday night. Bleh. I suck.

But I am back on track. Just think of all the weight I would lose if I just stayed compliant. It would be 3 pounds a week instead of 1.

About the bra's. You SUCK!! Just kidding. I went down in band size, from a 44 to a 36. But, my cup is still a double H. Yep, HH. I am NOT shrinking there one tiny little bit. I am just sick about it. I bought one bra last week and it was $78. Costs a lot to keep these knockers hoisted up. I am having a reduction as soon as I can.

Holy Hooters, Laurie! Oh, hey...I think I just figured out what the double H stands for, LOL. I have a friend who's a triple G, is that close? She just turned 21 and is only about 5'1" and I always tell her that I don't know how she is not just completely doubled over. Sorry to hear that they're not medi-shrinking, and good luck on the reduction--I would SO be there too.
