FULL BODY PIC/VERY NERVOUS DOING THIS!!!!

Postby Nite Izes » July 20th, 2004, 10:18 pm

ok, as many of you know, I have NEVER allow anyone to view a full body pic of me because I just feel very insecure about the way I look, especially about being morbidly obese. I wanted to share an updated full body pic before & after pic and let you see what a diffierence weight loss can make.

Well, I have been losing weight thanks to Medifast, althought I hit a few bumps and plateaus along the way. I initially was 300 pounds in January and am currently 250 pounds. What a difference!!! I wanted to wear the same clothes that I had in the 1st photo, but those black shorts fell to the floor everytime I move about, so I decided to use the green shorts and hope those can stay put with each future photo shoot. I noticed my tummy has gone down and is less bloated, my back and side are smaller, my double chin on my face has receded and my arms are less pronounce somewhat. It is difficult for me to notice since I see myself everyday.

It was not easy to do this and took a lot of courage and demanding confidence to deal with this dramatic step to publicly displaying my full body pic. But I did it to help those that also want to lose weight and may be like me over 100+ lbs overweight.

Nite Izes,

What an inspiration your pictures are! :yippee: I'm just petrified to take pictures of myself. I'm thinking seriously about doing it now after seeing your wonderfully courageous post. It's so encouraging to see the difference! Right now, I can only tell by the scale, and my shorts too are starting to fall. Isn't it just the greatest to under grow instead of out grow your clothes? By the way, your hair is simply angelic! Congratulations and a very big hug of gratitude  for your post which is a gift of inspiration to me. You're definitely on your way, and so am I thanks to encouragement like yours!

You have done wonderfully!

And don't worry most of us were very hesitant and nervous about posting our pics, but nothing bad happened to me!

Thank you for sharing this with us--very courageous and inspiring :). I avoid cameras like the plague and just recently got a friend to take full body pics of me, grudgingly, and will post my before pic when I have a good after/during pic to put beside it. The thought of displaying a picture here, or anywhere, is uncomfortable, but I know that no one judges me as harshly as I have judged myself in the past.

You look great, and the difference is so noticeable! Thanks for the inspiration :).

Nite, the difference is amazing! What an inspiration. I hope you didn't throw out those black shorts, not that you will ever wear them again, but it would be fun to see the difference from where you were to where you are going!

Keep up the good work!

I agree--don't throw out the black shorts! I still have my size 32 jeans, and I will NOT give them up for anything! It reminds me of where I came from, and where I could end up again if I don't stick with it!

Thanks everyone for saying nice things and cheering me on. It boosted my confidence and not shy away with embarrassement due to the way I look. I know I do not look great physically, give it time, I will look pleasant to one's eye.

Being on a forum, no one knows who you are or what you look like. All anyone can sort is based on your replies and how you view certain things based on a thread and that is how your personality is judged. No face, no audible voice, just your writing and screen name.

It is very difficult to place such a personal pic as I did for the members to see what I look like at the moment. At 1st glance (as when I go out), the 1st thing noticed is how morbidly obese I am and then the size of my excessively bloated stomach (looks like I am ready to give birth). Based on that, strangers think they can decipher who you are and think your feelings are made of cold stone to be mocking you (based on how you look) as you pass by. Well, as I keep losing weight, I feel more stronger of who I am and slowly gain confidence. I cannot wait to see if my tummy will be somewhat flat (I have a huge complex about it).

Regarding the black shorts, I still have them and remember how much I have accomplished these past few months. Those were a size 26 (3x) and right now I am between size 18-20. Can't wait to fit into a size 18, then 16, then 14, etc.
