Ok Folks.. Sat 7/22 will be 1 month.. ready to exercise!

I'll likely come in at a 28-30lb loss for the 1st month. I'm thinking it'll likely taper off to 5lbs a week for the coming weeks. I'm ready to start using that EFX elliptical I bought a while back.

What'cha think folks? sound safe to start with 20-30 minutes, 3 x a week?

Feeling good!

If you haven't used the elliptical in awhile, I would start at 10 minutes a day on a very low intensity level and work up from there, adding a few more minutes each time. 30 minutes a day. 3-5 times a week is a good goal in my opinion.

I think you've set a reasonable exercise routine that you can stick to.

Also, can you tell me where you bought your eliptical machine? I've really really wanted one for a LOOONG time. There is always a long line at any gym to get on it. Everyone fights over it. I would LOVE to have one in my own home. The only thing is I have no idea which one to get and I don't want to spend a ton of money on it if possible.

Thanks for your help!

I bought mine at a local BusyBody store. It wasn't cheap at $3,500 (delivered). Here's the model: Precor EFX5.21i Elliptical Cross-Trainer

Thanks for the advice!

I just realized, tomorrow will be 4 weeks, but 1 month won't come until the 24th! I'll likely hit that "30lbs in the first month" goal!

$3,500!??? Well, I still want one. I'll see what I can do.

Good for you for getting one!!!!!!! I think that there is nothing too expensive when it comes to you and your health and wellbeing.

Let us know how you do when you add your exercise into the plan!
