a couple of questions

Postby jace » March 18th, 2006, 2:24 am

I need to lose about 50 lbs...would the best way to do this be using the lean and green approach or just using all medifast products? How many shakes a day should I be using? thanks

Not recommended to do all products unless being followed by a Doctor. Lean and Green is good, that way you don't get as bored with the diet.

Hi Jace and welcome,

There's also very little difference in the results between the two plans.

Do I have to have the shakes or can I eat like oatmeal and the soups/chili in place of the shakes during the day. I don't really like the shakes!!

No shakes needed. All the meals are interchangeable, except that you can only have one bar a day. I've been on this for 10 months now, and haven't had a shake (other than an occasional ready-to-drink box) since the first month.

Well,

Personally, since there's no REAL weight difference (that and having to see the DR SO often), I've chosen L & G (5 + 1). For myself, I'm doing this to help myself make good food choices once I transition into maintenance. I look forward to coming up with interesting things for my L & G. I'm training myself and proving to myself that I can survive in the real world with real food and real choices! I've learned a lot about myself, including nothing tastes as good as I'm feeling now!!!

Hope this helps and welcome!
