Okay, I am frustrated. In the end all is good, but I am hoping that others who were facing the same problems will realize some doctors are full of     crap. For over 18 months I sought help for my hair falling out, tada I in fact had a thyroid problem. For years I had a body temp of 96.2 or so, I now know this is a warning sign of thyroid problems. I had a full radical hysterectomy was told if you are not having hot flashes you are in no need of any hormones. Come to find out besides being off on thyroid, my tetosterone, progesterone and estogen were all critically low. Why did it take seeing SO many doctors to finally find one that got it and now I am feeling so normal. Remember, just because your tests are in normal range this does not mean you are optimal for you. I know we can not list web sites, I highly reccommend ANYONE having issues to google Anna Cabeca OB/GYN in Brunswick GA she is at CabecaHealth. I am certain she can reccommend a doctor close to you.

My hair has stopped falling out, I have energy and feel SOOOOOOO much better. My doctor was in my insurance network. Anyone within 200 miles of her, she is worth the drive! I drive 2 hours for her and do not regret one minute of it.

Okay...so I just went on a 12 phrmacy chase to get my thyroid medication. It is unavailable and has been for months. I really have no interest in a synthetic thyroid and thought there may be others with the same issue. Armour Thyroid is in VERY low supply in the US, note I said US, it can be gotten regularly in Canada. The other option for those not wanting to deal with Canadian pharmacy is to find a compound pharmacy, Armour can be compounded. The hitch with that is you will pay 30.00 per month instead of 10.00. I learned a lot about hairloss in recent months. After seeing countless doctors, I now know a couple of things that will help others. Evening Primrose Oil 3000 per day, Biotin 5000 per day and Iodine. The Iodine one was a big surprise to me, and my wonderful doctor put me on supplements, good stuff. I was shocked to find out how bad our American diet is nutritionally. I always felt SOOOOO much better on Medifast, probably because we were getting nothing but crap and fat without it. While I did not make my 180 day challenge, I did manage to keep off the weight by remembering to eat 4 or more times a day, and if in a rush I slammed a shake, they are nummy and make for good nutition after the loss. I have 75 to go to get to ULTIMATE weight loss, not sure if that is what I am shooting for, really I just want to be comfortable in a 12. I have 6 weeks to shake til surgery, then 4 weeks before I can do the treadmill again. I am rambling... Oh back to hairloss, if I do my supplents religiously, do my MF religiously and take my thyroid pill the hair stays in my head. The MF has not alot to do with it, except it gives me the nutrition I need which I do NOT get when I am my own chef. I was so shocked to find the french fries were not a food group lol, even more so that donuts were not

Sorry about the medication problem, that would be really frustrating. I am allergic to iodine, but I have been using Biotin for the last two-three months and I am so happy that my hair has started to come back in. I was really losing it, because even though Medifast is nutritionally sound your body isn't ready to deal with the extreme decrease in fat and calories. I also have to take 3 omegas each night and I always eat my fats no matter what protein I choose. Hope things keep going well.

I am back... I am in thyroid hell, I am losing my hair in thyroid hell. Still I am back, no major change except instead of 218 I am 233, oh my. Oh and I picked up an Eminem habit. In case I failed to mention I am in my 40's and traditionally listen to old country. Still I find Eminem an excellent listen in the Ipod while on the treadmill. He's pissed off, I am pissed off I am on a treadmill at 233 lbs, I think it is a good mix. Hope all of you are well and I will check in on Tuesday while the kids are at school.
