Yeah the uncle and aunt won't be recognizing you pretty soon! Yellow is not the best color for *anyone* so don't be alarmed! Looks like you have fun with your son though, that's pretty cool. Mine won't play any sports, he doesn't like them. :(

Thanks for posting the pics, hope to see halfway updates, which I'm sure will be sooner than you think! :D

I am back, watching and doing what I can to lose now....today my son and I are going to start walking in the afternoons. He is 8 and says this summer he wants to lose weight. I keep telling him, he isn't fat, he is 4"4' 98lbs. His body is in the process of growing taller. I know I am doing what I can, I am so happy for me....I finally made the 10lb club.

Hi, Michelle ~

How wonderful that you and your son are making such a cool health connection. The habits we display to our children will affect their lives now and in the years ahead.

Many people spend too much time indoors. A woman recently asked me what sports I played when I was a kid - I was embarrassed to answer because I never played sports when I was young. I never got into the habit of moving about or being active and preferred to read or watch television. It resulted in a lack of coordination and balance then and now. It is a whole lot harder to develop the habit of activity now that I'm in my late fifties but I want to be healthy and fit more than I want to be fluffy so I move because I understand the value of it.

Michelle, it was neat to revisit your pictures tonight and see the look of happiness on your face as you posed with your newfound relatives. We are confident that you and your son will both have a healthy summer and make the food choices that lead you to your weight goal. Happy thinnin’ and walking!

Welcome to the 10# club! I'm so happy for you!

I think it's so neat what you're doing with your son! Building good habits in our little ones is what's going to SAVE that generation!

I was adopted too. I found my biologicals 4 years ago. Interesting stuff, eh?
