Restarter

Postby bear45 » January 22nd, 2007, 6:07 pm

I am also restarting and am glad you started this thread. I have really been looking at my emotional issues around overeating and am ready to 'face the demons' that may come up as I continue down this road.

I had lost almost 50 pounds a couple of years ago and got off track when I went through the end of a 7 year relationship. Same old story...gained it and some back. Am doing it differently this time...I am swimming at least 3 times a week and am telling myself that I really do want to let go of this weight that has become such a burden to my body.

Thanks to all of you for being here.

me, too

Postby ScottsMom » January 23rd, 2007, 7:27 am

Hey,
I am a restarter, too. I did a fabulous job last year, starting about this time. I remember asking for MF for my birthday last year (1/27). This year was the same request. I was down to 7 pounds to my goal, but I quit around August. I tried to restart last year, just before the holidays. I just couldn't do it. I think I felt so good at that weight, I just couldn't get motivated. I looked good and felt great. I did well maintaining until the holidays. Then, I just ate everything. I joined WW on-line and stuck with it for a couple of weeks. I swear I stayed below my points alottment-- gained 3 pounds!!!! :x So, I begged my husband for MF. He's wonderful, so for the second year, I get MF for my birthday. I haven't weighed in a while. I'm scared. I am going to start MF on Monday, the 29th. I am having one last hurrah for my birthday this weekend. I figure I am going to have 25 pounds to lose. Dang it. I was so close. Well, at least I am in good company. Good luck to all of you! We can do this. We know it works. Just think--- skinny levis, skinny levis!
Lora
Restart on 1/5/2009-- baby weight again.

Restarter Here

Postby Ginabobina1969 » January 25th, 2007, 1:09 pm

Hello all! I haven' been around for awhile either. Last year I lost approx 88 pounds useing mf dropping down to 188 at my lowest. Then for various reasons, financial and otherwise I decided to go off plan for the holidays. I did okay at first... then I started gaining, especially over Christmas. By the New Year I was up too 226 and feeling terrible, physically and mentally.
Tried to diet here on my own, lost 7 pounds then couldn't stick with it..I was hungry all the time. Currently I am at 221 and just received a Large mf order today, I had some leftovers from before and expected my package today, so I went ahead and started back on plan.

I feel excited about getting back on track and look forward to sharing the journey.

Hugs,
Gina

Psss...Unc. I need to be moved back to the 50 pound club please.

I am also a restarter. It is deffinately harder the 2nd time around. I don't know why since I was feeling and looking better before but it is deffinately difficult. I will be doing my best to keep on plan because once it is routine, it is easy.
