Ok it is official.we need a "add to fave topic" button here LOL

Great journal Doc! I like that you grab like by the horns and make it your own.
My husband and I basically did that when we quit our high-paying jobs(High Stress more like it) and moved to a small town in the mountains to run 2 small business' from our home. Some of our family still thinks we are nuts LOL

As for reading..ohhh Girl!! I have always loved books. Right now I am reading Lisa Jackson and I just finished the latest James Patterson. I read everything and anything.

It is awesome about the lion! I love them(being a Leo makes it automatic I think LOL) and look forward to the pics!

Robin--I am in awe of you! I always wanted to work for a newspaper! I was the Editor of my HS Paper for 4 yrs and still keep in touch with the Advisor there LOL

Thanks for sharing Doc! I look forward to more posts!

LOL Robin, that's funny :D

Congrats on a job well done, doc. Now eat and get some rest!

Oh, one more book I forgot to mention that was SO good was called The Glass Castle, Jeanette Walls. This book has stayed with me since I read it about a month ago, it was really powerful.

Take Care!

JeepGirl: this is my mantra Those who say it can't be done should be careful not to interfere with those who are doing it. (feel free to quote to various family members  ) If your family thinks your crazy then you're probably doing it just right! So what are your businesses?

Started reading the Screwtape Letters - C.S. Lewis. Just a few pages in but I'm enjoying so far. It's a dialogue between two devils written in letters. I'll keep ya'll posted.

So anyone have a favorite author?
My top three are:
John Irving
Umberto Eco
Jose Saramago

Okay gotta run off to the hospital, 24 hour shift today :x You know I write the schedule you think I stop doing this to myself

I've just emailed some pictures to Unca. I am the one in the blue sweatshirt with the blonde ponytail. I'm not in that many pictures but I'll send more when I get them. Most are of my staff and some of my clients with the lion.

Okay guys the Newspaper just put up a news video on their website. I'm the blonde doctor handling the anesthesia and there is a nice interview with me at the end. Dr. Cuevas is my cat veterinarian, just hired her 4 months ago and she's great, she is performing the dental cleaning. You can see most of my staff and some nice pics of Pacino the lion.

the link is www dot thetimesnews dot com scroll down to the section that says Times News Exclusive Video then click on Big Toothache

I'm so excited apparently the story got picked up nationally.

Thanks for all the support guys. I do have the best job in the whole world. What I'm proudest of though is all the people I'm supporting by providing employment to. Makes me feel like I've accomplished something worthwhile.

Okay new topic.

Weighed in at 194 today. that's a total loss of 35.9 pounds. Yeah! Thank you MF! My next mini goal is to have lost 40 pounds by my hubby's birthday which is August 26th So I have about 3 weeks to lose 4.1 pounds. I'm hopeful that I'll make it. After that it's 50 pounds total by my anniversary October 7. That's like 10 pounds in a month and a half or so.

Lately I have had the strongest pizza cravings. They're downright painful :x

The Screwtape Letters is turning out to be quite entertaining. Next up is going to be An Instance of the Fingerpost by Ian Pears. Anyone up for reading it?
