2nd time on Medifast

Postby coochorama » March 4th, 2004, 3:26 pm

First time I lost 70 pounds in a hurry, then had a huge life change and gained it all back plus some more. Ready to try again, this time I have a stronger support structure and am committed to losing the weight for my health. My family history is of very large people (I'm 5'10" and weigh 412 lbs. right now and am not the biggest person in my immediate family). I'm 26 years old and male. My other vitals (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.) are all great...so here are my goals. First, I'll keep going to visit a nutritionist and my doctor regularly. Second, I want to weigh less than 300 lbs. again, with an ultimate goal of 225-250 lbs. If I'm healthy and exercise, though, I'll take any weight that is indicative of the lifestyle...if it is 300 lbs., so be it. When seeing a nutritionist before she estimated that my frame and muscle mass amount to just under 200 lbs.! So as I see it, I've got a long way to go, but not too long that I won't do it. Hey, I appreciate your support and will be giving you updates no matter the results...I need accountablity more than anything and you are it!! Thanks!

Hello, and welcome aboard! You've definitely come to the right place. You'll find that this is a wonderful support group.

I, too, am here for the second time with Medifast. We both KNOW it works, and that should make our efforts even more confident.

The best of luck to you.

Hello Cooch!!
Welcome....this forum IS MY ACCOUNTABILITY!! I come here to confess, vent, smile, laugh, to read and keep up with everyones sucesses and hard times and know that I am not alone!!! ...but mostly I come here for support, which is what we all need doing this Program!! You said in your post that you have done Medifast before...so you KNOW IT WORKS! dont look at your loss as being overwhelming...take it in small goals...10 or 20 pounds at a time..one shake at a time..one day at a time.
We all want results YESTERDAY!! that is the hardest thing for me anyhow...I want to see results too soon..but after 32 years of struggling with weight issues...I know this time that its going to come off as it WILL! cant rush things...If I follow this program faithfully...IT WILL COME OFF!!

Welcome to the Forum...post often and let us know how you are doing....
:) Tami

Welcome Cooch,

This board is great, everyone is very supportive. Keep reading and posting. We are all human and need the interaction. It is a great uplifter for me everyday.

Hang tough and keep shaking the weight will go away!

Cooch, (is this your name? Do we call you something else, or Cooch?)

Welcome.. Nice to see another guy on the board. Some come, and all go. I am not complaining, but its nice sometimes to get another guy's view...

It's pretty obvious you know the benefits of Medifast, and its worthyness as a great program.

Stick with us, and we will all do it together!!

Welcome!

I'm one of the "other" guys here as well. I don't post as often, but I've been hard at MediFast since January 10th.

My lean body mass is also about 200 lbs. according to a nutrionist. I know I likely won't see that weight. I'm also shooting for the 225 lb. area as a goal.

It's sounds like you are gung-ho! If another "guy" can help you in anyway just let me know.
