is your hubby or significant other getting better?

Postby falisamarie » May 15th, 2006, 7:18 am

I was wondering if your hubbies, significant others, family or other people in your life are getting better at rewarding you with non food items and at accepting you plan and supporting you. I know that my hubby has gotten much better. He now gives me roses :rose: :rose: :rose: (my fave) for special occasions and to encourage me. He is learning and being much more supportive now!

MY hubby has always been supportive but now he actually THINKS before making suggestions about whatever - to be sure it won't interfere with my plan. He will say things like - will this mess up your schedule or he asks - do you need to eat now? Stuff like that.

Also, people at work don't even ask me any more when they take orders for take out or what have you....they know better!!! HA!

Good poll Lisa!

My dear husband is totally onboard and supportive, wish the rest of my family and friends were, but he is most important, so it's all good...

My husband has always been very supportive.

I don't have any real problems with anyone else, except they are starting to tell me I don't need to lose any more weight. I know that's not true, so it makes me wonder about their motives.....I just turn a blind ear, so to speak. Doesn't effect me at all.

I have now got my closest and skinniest friend on my side. Went out Friday night to the movies and she opted for no popcorn also because she didn't want to be rude. It's so much easier when there are people on your side rooting for you!

BTW...this is the same friend who told me I wouldn't stick w/MF and said "you can just start again Monday" every weekend. Once I stopped going out w/her because of this, I think she caught on that I was serious.

Hubby has always done the roses or flowers(chocolates  ) for no reason except that he loves me. Right now I have pretty much told him I would rather have the money for medifast so not to get me gifts like that.
He has been super supportive even before he even knew what the program consisted of. lol

He is also being much more attentive(not that he wasn't before)  Just that attention, has increased trifold.

I have officially dubbed him "Mr. Grabbyhands" and if it doesn't at least slow down I am gonna dubb myself "Mrs moves like lightning"

It's really great that hubby is becoming more supportive and learning how to show that support in ways that won't jepardize the plan, Ms. Lisa

WOOHOO for MF!!
(Pssst by the way I saw a headshot of Ms Lisa new hairdo and let me tell ya my lower jaw hit the table..the new doo is cute as can be but the change in Lisas features from her mf'ing ways is AWESOME!!! I was like  )

Hugs,
Gina

Fortunately my husband has been supportive from the beginning. Now he is starting to think before he offers me something he knows I can't have. And, he is most supportive of letting me go shopping as I need new things that fit better!

My wife has been supportive from the beginning. Though I used to do all the grocery shopping in the household I have had to relinquish that duty for the time being. I have traded her for the laundry duties until I can get closer to my goal weight and not go crazy in the chip aisle.

My hubby is very supportive :). Before MF he would offer me some of his dinner (I cooked!), but he stopped doing that once I started MF. He read last week if you have 3 good kisses (5 seconds I think) you will lose a pound a year, so I get about 20 of those a day now  .

He told me when I get under 200 we're going clothes shopping, and when I get to my goal weight we're going to Niagra Falls! That motivates me more than you know. He told me the other day he dreamed I was at my goal weight and he was lifting me in the air :) . I'm so lucky to have him...

Hi

Postby dede4wd » May 18th, 2006, 12:12 am

I am significant-otherless, but I wanted to report that my Dad AND my co-workers have gone from teasing me about another hair-brained idea to being my guard dogs. They physically keep food they KNOW I can't have away from me...Almost to a comic level! It's cute because I don't need their help anymore, I did before, but now I'm okay!

Now, I'm just trying to be a good example and let my co-workers know that they could do this too...if only I could get them to quit drinking for five minutes!

My dog is the closest thing to a "significant other" that I have, and he is losing weight. I guess the table scraps aren't as good when they are green beans and grilled chicken.
