Why shouldn't Bars be eaten for the 1st meal of the day?

In one post I read that people should NOT have bars for their first meal of the day.

If there is a reason for this can someone please explain.

I understand why bars are best before evening due to the higher carb and calorie count.

My understanding of this is that we don't want to spike our blood sugar in the morning. We should have a regular replacement for the first replacement then the bar for either 2, 3, or 4th.
The diabetic program suggests their bar as the last replacement so that the extra calories will keep the blood sugar levels steady overnight.

Yeah, I like the bars and consider them a treat when I have them. :)

I understand better...I had one yesterday morning not knowing better, but I will leave them to an early afternoon meal then.

I'm with you, T! What would I have to look forward to? I love to have mine with tea in the late afternoon (when the munchies used to hit pre-MF) :mrgreen:
