What's in a name?

Postby Serendipity » June 19th, 2006, 9:14 am

I've been wondering about the origin of some of our nicknames. Mine was chosen just after I watched the movie of the same name and at the time, the word seemed to be particularly meaningful for me because it seems that alot of the good things that happen in my life are serendipitous. I kind of just fall into things, lol.

How about you? Wildtrk? dogma? Some are definately easier to figger out than others, lol. Vicky, you don't need to answer, hehe.....unless your name is something other than Vicky, of course.

ps: Thanks, Unca.....I guess the squeeky wheel gets the oil.

Uhm.. I have no good excuse for mine. I liked the name and it's not the same as my normal internet name :)

Sarya is not my real name :) Carrie is.

Mine was because I was starting the Medifast journey For me - For Mommy. I am always doing for everyone else and putting everyone's needs before my own (which is not in and of itself a bad thing but you can do it at the expense of your own well being).

So this journey is FORMOMMY :)

I am not very creative. Mine is my name. Jodi. But, because Jodi was already taken I added my birth year. See...not to much imagination on my part!!!

Well my name is Jenn and I assumed it would be taken so I added the P for my last name. On most sites I use Jaremcal which is the first couple letters of each of my kids names. This is only the second site where I have used my real name.

Well, I love music...sang on the praise and worship team, prior to my move to WI. Took up guitar two years ago because I wanted to be able to play for myself. And am a novice song writer. AND I'm a momma...in fact, the nick name our youth group gave me is Momma J...or MJ. So I tend to mother other people too :)

The "reloaded" was my re-committment to losing weight.

so down here in the music seen Emo music is really big and along with emo music and punk music are what is called emo kids. sorta like those kids that dress up all gothic but a tiny bit more color and they portray that whole distraught artist type of personality lol whether or not they are really like that they act like their lives are a sad song lol. needless to say i am NOT an emo kid haha, but every time i would get upset, my ex best friend would jokingly say "dont cry little emo girl!" and it would always make me laugh. i made my aim sn DntCryLilEmoGrl so i made this the same .

Jo, I love that movie Serendipity. ChiNut is just short for chihuahua nut. I have two long haired female chihuahuas that I am crazy about and everyone says I am nuts about my chihuahuas so ChiNut seemed appropriate. I'm holding Oreo in my avatar. Couldn't get them both in the picture.
