okay CTHRN007...this is for you...as I was looking at your last entry I noticed your AMAZING....EXCITING....FABULOUS...etc., etc....WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!!
YES!!! YOU GO GIRL :cheerleader:
Now tell me what's the secret??? :secret: I started 2-9-05 only 5 days after you and have been 100% may I repeat 100% compliant on the COMPLETE PLAN...yes the COMPLETE PLAN...and have only lost 10 lbs. in 3 weeks.
I'm not complaining.....not discouraged....but wondering am I doing something different that may need to be changed. My metabolisim has always moved slower than a turtle. (I guess my insides just loovveee the comfort of those fat cells) Okay here is my schedule so any input from anyone is appreciated and Nancy if you get this and you get a chance please critique:

When I'm up at 7:00 a.m.
8am...swiss mocha shake
11:30...swiss mocha shake
3:00...orange D shake
6:30...chili w/boullion added
10:00...oatmeal

When I'm up at 9:00 a.m. The same schedule as 7am only 2 hrs. later:
10am....1:30pm...5:00pm...8:30 pm....11:30 pm

100plus ozs. water per day
sometimes 1 pkg. crackers per day
either a s.f. diet jello or boullion around 5 p.m.
once in a while 1 s.f. pc. of gum

Have not exercised at all yet....

Do you think it's possible I should be adding one more shake/replacement a day? Maybe my body thinks it's in starvation mode.
Or does the timing of my MF meals make a difference?
Or possibly would all shakes v.s. 3/shakes & 2/MF replacements be better?

Well, Donna, I can tell ya that you're supposed to be eatin' 6 shakes/supplements a day, not 5! (That's assuming your doc hasn't prescribed some other plan for ya.) You should be eating 6 meals a day; many people do 5&1, and they REPLACE one MF meal with a lean & green, but those doing the full fast should still be eating 6 times a day. It may be that your bod is losing more slowly because you are giving it so few calories that it is clinging to every last fat cell because it's afraid of starving. You might try adding a shake to your day to see if that helps you lose faster. (How fun is it to eat more to lose more? ;) ) Try to space them out every 2 -3 hours instead of going 3.5 hours, as you sometimes are now. Otherwise, your water intake looks good, and your snacks are kosher, so I think adding a shake might do the trick.

Hope this helps!

Donna,

Have you lost weight steadily over the 3 week period or did you lose a lot in the first week and then slow down dramatically. If you're losing at a rate of 3 pounds a week consistently, I'd say you're in good shape and are doing most everything right (although as Rae says, you should be having 6 supplements a day if you're on the full fast). If you are losing less than 2 pounds a week, I would really suggest a chat with your HA or a call to the nurse's line to see what is recommended. Some folks have been advised to move to all shakes and to start the day with a double shake but you would probably want to have a more individualized conversation to know whether that is a good route for you.

I know how hard it is, but you should avoid comparing your weight loss with anyone else's. You should focus on your average and whether it is within the MF "norms". So far it is and you just may not have had as much water weight to lose as some others have had.

You're doing great and where else can you lose 9 pounds in 3 weeks? Just stick to it and you'll do fine.
