Donna ~

Well, I hear your little cry among the shouts of glee! I appreciate the fact that you are happy for Smartie and that you are waiting your turn. You are so unselfish ad I love that about you – generous to praise others and whoop it up with the. It will come to you, too. I promise.

Yes, the things Rae and Sylvia said are right-on.

You are losing within the average weight loss range of 2-5 pounds per week. Some people do seem to lose a lot of weight their first couple of weeks and then may taper off to 2-3 pounds per week.

Some of us may not get off to a jackrabbit quick start but move more at turtle speed - but they are steady and sure all the way to their goal.

Your schedule looks good, water intake is right-on, and you are ready to begin to increase your activity level now. Add another packet o shake or oatmeal for a couple o days and see what happens.

If you are getting plenty of rest, are not overly stressed-out, then just wait a bit longer and we'll see what your body's weight loss pattern shows us over a few more weeks.

As we lose fat, estrogen is released into the blood stream and for women, this can affect their cycles, making them more fertile and those skanky hormonal fluctuations may contribute to weight loss rates, too.

Other health factors such as diabetes and thyroid dysfunction and medications affect weight loss. Little Darlin' - take some comfort in knowing that you ARE NORMAL!!!

I feel your pain. I have a C-section scar, and not the bikini kind either. (belly button to um... yeah) HOWEVER I sort of think that if I lost enough weight to where I wouldn't feel like a huge troll in one, I could give a fig if people see a tiny scar on my tiny tummy. ;) At least they're noticing your scar, and not your gut. :)

Kauket,
That was pretty funny...."You could give a fig" and yes a tiny scar on a tiny belly is much sexier than a big scar on a big belly. And having had 2 sections myself with the scar in the middle one may not know which is your front and which is your back...as they start to resemble one another..lol
Have a GREAT day and Happy Shakin

Don't I know it. My oldest daughter came out butt first and I always say my body was so happy I didn't have to go through labor it created a little butt statue in her honor. Not very funny, I know, but it beats just blaming it on flab. ;)
