Sue your enthusiasm is evident :D Congratulations on your resolve to stay on program and on the great weight loss so far.

Also---good for you on not having the popcorn and having the mindset that the aroma is just as nice as eating the popcorn would have been.

Thanks T...it's great to hear a compliment from somebody who has been as succssful as you...for not only losing...but for keep it off. You and Robin help us re-starters tremendously.

Has anybody out there tried the new MF bars? Just wondering if they are any good. I just ordered a couple of boxes. I am interested in the fact that you can eat more than one per day.

Wow. Sounds like you're doing great on the program, Suzy. As for the bars, sorry, I have no idea. They sound like a great idea, though. Being limited to one a day was kind of a pain at times, because they were so convenient. I haven't had a Medifast product in years, though, so I haven't tried the new ones. I bet Mike or Diana has, though. And Nancy, of course, although she doesn't seem to ever post here anymore. I know she had some ill family members ...

Hey Suzy!!

Sounds like you are doing fantastic!! The weight is just dripping off ya!!

I ordered my new bars but they haven't got here yet. I've chatted with a few that have tried them and they are pretty good they said. I like the idea of not having to limit them. I have been so cautious with them because of the increase in calories and carb that I only have them on my workout days. Don't want to skew my weight loss.

Good job on the traveling! It's alot easier after a few weeks. I managed to get through halloween with no cheat and even went to a party. To me, losing the weight is more important at this point. I don't want to have to start over again and again!!

Have a great one!!

Thanks guys. I am really excited about getting the bars. I sometimes would love to have more than one per day - but never do it as it's then off program. I sure hope the new bars are good.

Well I am up one pound today but I am not going to let it get me down. I am sure that tomorrow it will be gone.

Today is a very gloomy day and freezing outside. It might be 30 degrees. There is also snow flurries out there. I am not sure I am ready for the winter months.

Ready or not, here they come! The good news is that spring always follows winter. We just have to wait it out.

I'm sure that pound will be gone - bodies are funny about what they weigh from day to day, or even within the same day.

Thanks for the advice in my journal - I've made it today. I had to go 4&2 which is not really OK, but it is a stepping stone for me. Tomorrow, as always, I will aim for 5&1 like we're all supposed to.

I know what you mean. It's nowhere near that cold here yet, but it WAS overcast and rainy this morning. It was my workout day off, so I was cuddled on the couch with the dogs this morning, and I wanted SO much to stay there.

That 1 Will probably be gone tomorrow. I know what you mean about the cold. It is 50 degrees here but it is windy so it feels like 40..My son thinks he still can go outside with out a jacket. We have a constant fight. But he says mom the weather channel say it is 50. And I have to say UH IT IS STILL COLD OUT. I am the bad parent

Thanks guys for stopping by and posting in my journal. Nickie and Katie - you will do this. Robin - I sat around watching football yesterday afternoon - too bad the Packers lost. Oh well.

I was very happy to step on the scale this morning. Not only was that one pound gone, another 1.5 pounds was gone for a total of 16 pounds lost in 3 weeks. Talk about being excited. I always knew MF worked for me but everytime I tried to get back on program I just could not get my act together....hey Nickie...sound familiar?? I finally just did it...I worked through those moments when I thougth I would crash and give up. Well now I feel like I am at the point where I am back to feeling comfortable with the prorgam and have no reason to come off it. I was just looking at the calendar (I write down my weight every day) and can't believe how many days have gone by that I have followed the program. It's a great feeling.

Something else happened this past weekend. I had a dream that I had ate something off plan.....oh how I remember those dreams from the last time I was successful on MF. It's kind of funny....I don't think about going off program but my subconscience obviously does. Oh well.....as long as it's just in my dreams.

I am up a pound today...oh well. I go up then go down. Don't recall doing this the last time...I just remember it going down. But I am okay with it...as long as the trend is down...life is good.

Didn't sleep well last night, woke up with a stomach ache around 3:30am - strange - and then my ear began to hurt....again strange. But feel fine today so far today...a little on the tired side...but I feel okay.

The stomach ache brought back memories of these stomach pains I had the last time I was on MF. After a couple of months of being on it I became extremely constipated but it took forever to get that diagnosis. I guess I need to look into Miralax (doc recommended) so that I don't have the same issues. But stomach pains last night were similar in nature, just not as severe...hmmm.

If Miralax is all it takes, definitely look into it. We'd all hate to see you have to change course because of tummy trouble, but it has happened (my mom finally quit, even though she liked the plan, because she was having awful digestive issues). Good luck!

I can vouch for that stuff. It doesn't work as quickly as normal laxatives, but it does kind of straighten you out for quite a while if you take it for the full week like you're supposed to.

Thanks guys for the advice....didnt' realize that it might take a week to straighten things out...so that is nice to know. I would rather go that route than go through what I went through the last time. Thanks again!!

It doesn't usually take a whole week for it to work. It's usually three or four days. But I think the label said to take it for a week, to restore your natural rhythm or whatever. I took it for a week and then didn't have a problem again for months, which was nice.
