Postby Taszi17 » April 2nd, 2006, 4:55 pm

Hey guys is A1 steak sauce ok? It has less carbs than ketchup so I figured it would be okay but I can't find anything about it:)

I don't know, but maybe someone else does. I hope so, anyway. I LOVE that stuff. I like Heinz 57 too.

There is a low carb A1 steak sauce out now. I just saw it at Walmart today. It's 10 cals per tablespoon, so I'd think one tablespoon of the low carb A1 might just be OK.

Darn! :x Wish I'd have known that when I went out to eat with my hubby, had L&G at Lonestar and didn't use A-1. Ooh I love that stuff!!

It's amazing how easy it is to eat out and have a perfect L&G, all you have to do is just ask for steamed veggies, no oil added, and no oil added to your meat either. :)

Low Carb

Postby Jan » April 2nd, 2006, 8:20 pm

Hi There,
Read the labels to find out if the carb level is "ok" Ketchup has 4 grams in one Tbs. Nancy and I were having a discussion yesterday though and she reminded me that the danger in adding a little of this and a little of that -- is that it all adds up. Pretty soon we have added more calories that we had thought and then wonder why our weight loss has slowed down. So the word from here is Be Careful. :?

Definitely be careful when on that slippery slope. But the low-carb A1 tastes just like the regular, FYI. I've had it since my old Atkins days, along with Heinz 1 carb ketchup and the low-carb teriyaki.

The regular one has 3carbs per tablespoon and I figured it was okay since ketchup has 4. I will get the low carb one though just to be safe.

Also the only snack listed in the get started thing I got with my meals is a soup and crackers that are medifast.

I have seen a couple people say SF and FF jello is used as a snack. Is this okay to eat once a day and if so any others? :)

You can have 3 stalks of celery or 2 pickles or SF Jello (not pudding.. pudding is 2 Tablespoons of SF/FF), not all of the above, only choose one a day, PLUS a Medifast snack, which is fast soup OR crackers, NOT both.

Also you aren't supposed to have the crackers if you have Minestrone soup and a bar in the same day (too many carbs).
