stalled! Any friendly advise appreciated

I've been on program since 5/22 & have lost 14 pounds total. No ponds lost in the last 6 days!) I'm following program w/ no cheats. Here's how my day goes:

7:30 Shake or MF oatmeal (I like the cookies-no Splenda added)
9:45-10:00 Shake (Made with no-cal/low-cal fruit flavored water!)
12:30-1:00 Soup+ spices (no BBQ sauce or extra protein)
3:30-3:45 Bar
6:00 L & G ( I'll usually have one of the following proteins: 1/2 c low fat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup eggbeater southwestern flavor, 1 boca burger, 1 turkey burger (flavored w/fennel seeds and sage to taste like sausage), OR 1 tuna burger (made w/ 5 oztuna packed in water, 1 egg white & thawed, drained, frozen spinach which I subtract from my "green") + salad & dressing:

1 tsp olive oil or enova oil
1/2 T vinegar
1/2 T chicken or vegetable broth
1 T fresh herbs-dill, parsley
1 serving (approved by Medifast nutrition support)

The dry bouillon powder counts as a snack so I don't have any other snack.

I also was just diagnosed for fibroid tumors (sorry fellas!) the size of a canteloupe and need a hysterectomy. Pants are getting tight even though I've lost weigh and my shirts are getting HUGE!) So, I wonder if that had something to do with it.

The doctor says the more weight I lose, the easier my surgery will be. & Incidentally, my BIG loss was during my TOM so I know that's not the problem.

Gentle suggestions are welcome.

OK. First, it's common to stall for a few days or even a week in the third or fourth week or so. Second, six days does not a stall make; weight fluctuatates, and anything can affect it. Give it a few more days.

Third, are you really eating your L&G at 6 and then not eating again? What time do you go to bed? Forget the old rules about not eating after a certain time; you do NOT want to go so long without eating. If you're eating dinner at 6 and not eating again till 7:30 the next morning, you're going more than 13 hours without nourishment. That's not a good idea when you're already taking in so few calories.

You also only listed four meals plus a lean and green. You should be having FIVE plus a lean and green (and another if you're active).

Ditto what Robin said. You need to eat 5 medifast meals. Most people post during the 3rd week or so saying they are not losing weight. Not to worry it will start again. Weigh in once a week if the scale is bothering you.

Good Luck.

Oh, good. OK, in that case, it's probably the normal stall that people hit after the first couple of weeks. Prevailing wisdom seems to be that your body needs to adjust after losing 14 pounds so quickly.

Just stick with it, and it'll start coming off again very soon.

How much water are you drinking? Sometimes upping our water intake can help.

Out of curiosity, has there been any talk with your doctor about estrogen and the tumors? I read somewhere that there may be a link between estrogen levels and fibroid tumor growth. During weightloss, we women are sometimes getting higher-than-normal doses of estrogen, anyway, because the hormone is stored in fat. On top of that, the primary source of protien in most of the Medi-meals is soy, which is a phytoestrogen. Now, I'm not a doctor, don't play one on TV (or anywhere else, for that matter), and I have no idea if there's any similarity between the behavior of phytoestrogens and regular estrogens when it comes to fibroid tumors. But it might be something to ask your doctor about.

Keep us updated!

I just got off of a long plateau (I'm so glad I never have to see the numbers 335 again). The next week I lost 8 pounds.

Anyway, it showed me that the diet will work no matter what. I think my body wanted to fight me, but I won.

Trust the process.

I think Robin is right on. Also, how often are you having the Boca burgers and how many ounces are you having? I looked at some in the store and the calorie and fat content were high so I am not sure if this would affect it or not.

Wanna try a week without bars? Lots of people have had better luck limiting their bars to 1 or 2 per week or eliminating them altogether. It's worth a try!

Thanks all.

I've finally gone cold turkey and give up caffeine-No diet soda!

I had 6 16-oz bottles of no-cal/no-carb flavored water!!!

I'm just going to hang in there.

Today, I was down 8/10ths of a pound.

According to the scale, my % body water is the same and my body fat is down slightly.
