That is fantastic! Doesn't it feel great? I have been MF'ing for 313 days and a loss still gets me excited!

Tammy, I see you live in Virginia? Do you live close to DC at all? If you do we should get together for a L&G. I love meeting people in person from the boards. Jo and I had a great time getting manicures and shopping when business brought her to DC.

I'm about 4 hours away from DC - not terribly close, but close enough to make a trip if I had/wanted to. :)

A bag of dog food...hadn't thought of it that way! Normally, I think in terms of turkeys...since I just carried a bag of dog food in the house recently, that really hits home!

My DH is doing awesome too...we can celebrate the victories together. We're actually hoping to go to the big shin-dig in Orlando in June, as I will be off for the Summer from school. By then, maybe we'll be selling Medifast like hotcakes, changing some lives!

I'm really looking to this as a way to help people see their self-worth, and in that, seeing that they deserve to be healthy AND happy. I've just got to believe it myself enough to make it work for ME.

It DOES feel great, as a matter of fact. I want to somehow keep the momentum going. Clint (Yworry) and I had a long discussion last night about how we are doing and how we are going to continue until we see this through.

We watch "The Biggest Loser" as motivation, discuss our future plans with our children in terms of the things we can do as fit people - something that is incredibly difficult to fathom.

The saying, "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is so difficult for me to hear/read, because I've never been thin--I've never been healthy. I've been on diets since age 4. I wouldn't know fit if it hit me in the face. I think about things like no friction when I walk - being able to turn around without taking a table out - fastening a seatbelt--any seatbelt with slack leftover, having cleavage that doesn't meet my waist, being able to get down on the floor on my hands and knees to scrub a floor/tub/play with my kids...the list goes on--OH, having a bra that actually fits correctly and doesn't dig its way to the inner cavity of my chest!

So, "I am resolved (if you're a church-y person, you might know the old hymn)---no longer to linger, bound by this world's delights--things that are higher, things that are nobler, these will allure my sight!" I'm facing a deeper meaning than just changing my body size and shape...this is a spiritual, physical and mental journey for me.

Tammy it is a joy to read about your determination. How fortunate that you and Clint share the desire to change your lives for the better. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will continue to to be amazed!

Take care,

Tracy

Tammy, I was a thin person (117lbs) most of my adult life until 5 years ago. I can tell you that being thin in and of itself doesn't feel like much. It's what's happening inside. For me I am rewording that sentence to say "Nothing tastes as good as a healthy/managable relationship with food feels." Because that is what this journey is teaching me.

Biki,

I can definitely agree with that. I'll even go so far as to say I want to be the dominant personality with food. I am in control of this part of my destiny.

By the way, if the powers that be read this--please put me in the 20# Club! I did a mid-week weigh in. Tee hee! :D
