Yankees- a home win will have to do.

I remember why I took a break from
blueberry oatmeal . I could taste it 4 hours later and no amount of water was washing that burp away.

I was looking at old recipes and I think once school starts again Monday, I will do this (with egg beaters and make 4 meals). Someone commented on adding in BP, but I would prefer to have BP than 5 lbs of chips and chocolate. Enjoy. I will make these Sunday adn freeze them for Monday and report back. They look like the ones I used to make pre MF scrambled eggs. First, I have to remember to and then actually go and buy some PAM

make 6 meals ( i use large muffin tin)

2 pkts oat meal ( any flavor)
2 packets shakes ( any flavor)
2 pkts scrambled eggs
4-5 tsp baking powder
2 -3 tsp cinamon

mix dry ingredients with wisk

using a spoon add water slowly until mix is like frosting

add to sprayed muffin tins

bake 325 for 13-15 minutes ( mine take 14 minuets)

remove from tin let cool, wrap in paper towel and plastic bag and freeze

each muffin is a meal.

So easy

iF YOU RUN OUT OF SCRAMBLED EGGS...use egg beaters
4 TBLS egg beaters
2 shakes
2 oatmeal
3 tsp baking powder
1-2 tsp cinamon

mix until like frosting....
but this is only 4 meals...make only 4 muffins

Thanks for finding the recipe! Hope you have a great (on program) weekend with little or, better yet, NO stresses. :)

They don't have lots of flour, so they are not as airy, but they are more dense and chewy. Kind of like brownies more. They do rise with the BP, so they ar enot just lumps. I like them because if I bring that for work with some cucumber, no one asks questions or tells me that I should eat something else cause I must still be hungry. I will take a picture of them and stick that up, too.

All is well. Kids in HS took state exams this week so it was very hectic in school. Heading out to the "Boo at the Zoo" in Phx, now.

Nothing like triple booking plans and waiting till 8 to leave to get somewhere with a 2-year old who only took an extremely short nap after spending the day out shopping at IKEA and then Target. Then, store to buy flowers for the cemeteey, then the cemetery, then home finally after dropping a friend home.

So, yeah, waiting for my brother to get here so we can head to the zoo where one of my other brothers did some display. At least we get in free. SO, new word is he'll eb here in 10 minutes....sure........I have been sitting here waiting for 53 minutes already.

Have a good Halloweenie!

Well, Semester 1 is done...I think that had the be the toughest, so far, in terms of paperwork and coverage for incompetent, but thanfully no longer employed, teachers. Happy to see a principal who finally stuck to hs word and let them go, not happy to see that rather than replace that one, and maybe another one on the way, those of us here took her workload. So, I have been spending the last few days catching up on books and DVDs. I have a little more work to finish and turn in, but I need a break.

A friend just got stomach surgery. Not sure if I should be jealous....that isn't the right word... I am happy for her but not sure if I am taking a sucker way out (and not doing well at it) and she is getting the better end of the deal. I am not jealous because I don't want that for myself at all, would never even think of it. But, I wonder if I am just sitting her sucking at it and she is at home realxing and getting the same result. I don't know. I have read storied where, in the end after 6 mos. results equal out. So, I don't know. She is rally nice and deserves it and has lost a lot on her own over the last year or so. I think maybe I just wish I could see things through and get everything else on track. Lord knows I have plenty of MF meals in the closet.

So, anyone have friends/family get the surgery? What were the results? Did they compare?

Have a good holiday!

Glad to see you back on here! I am enjoying my time off from the classroom as well. As far as the surgery here are my experiences with friends and family. My husband's aunt had lap band last July to date she has lost 115 pounds, but she exercises 4 or 5 times a week in addition to the drastically reduced portions. She has went down 5 dress sizes and looks fabulous. I count her a success story, but she has made true lifestyle adjustments. I work with a girl who technically didn't qualify for lap band, so she paid for it out of her own pocket. She went from a 16 to a 2 in about a year and half, but she told me that she is losing her hair and her skin is really messed up because she isn't eating right. She looks kind of gaunt and she doesn't exercise. She doesn't ever look really happy. I have another friend who had lap band in May of 2008 and because she refuses to make lifestyle changes has only lost about 40 pounds. She will go and get the band tightened lose 10 or 15, but then she starts eating too much of the wrong things, gets sicks, and goes back to have the band loosened. Honestly, she wasted her money, but she told me that she has started exercising 3 times a week now. Finally, one of my coworkers who was close to 400 pounds and a diabetic had gastric bypass in August of 2008. She has lost around 130 pounds, but she has had many, many complications because once again, she won't adjust her lifestyle. I worry about her because when you mess with the gastric it can kill you. She had to have emergency bowel surgery this past Wednesday because she has been eating bread. She also had to go back in and have something repaired about a month after the surgery. Because of her diabetes she is a slow healer and she has a myriad of feet problems (three surgeries in the last two years) and that really prevents her from exercising. I would never, ever have either one of those surgeries. Ultimately, you have to make a lifestyle change. My husband's aunt said it worked for her because she hates throwing up and when you don't eat right or too much with lap band it all comes right back up, quickly. Also, whoever did her surgery provides a lot of support and nutritional counseling so she is not alone. I have another coworker who had lap band in July 2009, but she doesn't appear to be losing that much (maybe 35 pounds or so). Everyone at work thinks I had surgery and is waiting for me to admit it, it makes me mad because I have worked very hard to lose these 72 pounds and I didn't take the easy way out (which is how I view weight loss surgery-sorry if that offends anyone).
