Thanks everyone! Everything went very well. The pin came out just as expected and I am even allowed to walk on it with full weight as pain/lack of pain permits. I have a horrible headache from lack of nutrition and (more so) lack of Diet Coke, but other than that I feel pretty good. Of course my entire foot is still completely numb and I have Vicodan "on board" so life is looking rosey at this point.

August 1, 2008 starts the continuance of my journey to a thinner, healthier me! I know I can do it!

Oh, forgot to mention that I did meet my personal trainer, Earl, for a workout today before surgery. Let's just say that that might not have been such a good idea, since I hadn't had anything to eat or drink since 8pm last night and I wasn't even allowed water during the workout. Half-way through the session my whole body started to feel like it was made out of Jell-O. Earl was impressed and for that matter so was I. Me thinks my shoulders are gonna feel it tomorrow. Good thing I don't have to use crutches!

So glad to hear surgery went well! So great! And you went to your personal trainer in the AM? That shows some perserverance, girl!

Yea, I had the appointment for the trainer before the appointment for the surgery so, since Earl is so hard to schedual with, I decided to go for it. I do not recommend any significant work-out after having nothing to eat or drink for 15 hours. (Just in case anyone was thinking about it)

I am here acknowledging the moment, since I can't sleep and decided to have a celebratory shake ! cheers ! :toast:

I am psyched too, as my 10th year anniversary is on the 9th and I want to see what losses I can celebrate about !!

So glad to hear you are out of surgery and by the time you read this will be into your medigrub !!!

One shake down and time for another meal. I am off to a bit of a rough start since the numbness has worn off my heel and I am hungry too. Kind of a double whammy toward being grumpy. BUT - I have my Diet Coke again so all is not lost!

Actually, this is "fair week" and, even though Deanna isn't participating in the actual fair, we can't seem to stay away.

My life may slow down next week but, then again, I thought that last week too.

I shoulda known. A few people on my other board are in Ohio and one was just asking what she could eat at the fair (right after someone else asked if she REALLY has to eat vegetables; yeesh).
