Questions about loose skin and cellulite

Postby Misty » June 19th, 2006, 10:45 am

I have been reading all of those awesome sucsess stories and wonder what some of you may have used to help the appearance of cellulite. The thought of wearing a swimsiuit or shorts scares the crud out of me.I know there are no miracles but I have read some revews that some products and proceedures help the appearence some temporary some longterm. Anyone have any luck with this? Many Thanks

MAN---that is a good question. I will watch this thread, because I want to see what everyone says. I am so afraid of the loose skin, too.

Duct tape hahahahaha
But really cause I have been discussing this with another mf user. What happens to the skin when you are done? I think some of the 100# need to have a chat with us. I can feel my skin, its feels looser and that only with 26 lbs gone. Imagine 80 lbs gone. What happens to the skin????
Inquiring minds wanna know :)

I have a fairly sizable amount of loose skin around my middle. I've noticed that as I've started losing more slowly, it's tightened up some. I'm hoping that this trend continues.

My belly skin is shrinking...before I started MF I was convinced that the only way to get rid of this curtain of fat was a tummy tuck...I'm not so sure anymore. As I lost some fat, I only have a tiny crease low on my abdomen. I really think that when I get to goal I may not have any. My skin isn't firm, but it's not lumpy bumpy and hanging like before. I might opt for the tummy tuck to rid my belly of the roadmap of stretchmarks from my ribs to my whoooha though.

Ok, serious answer, now. I have alot of extra skin.....upper arms, thighs, tummy, midriff. I was really starting to become discouraged, BUT, I don't think it's as bad as it was a month ago. I have noticed some tightning up....I just think it takes time for skin to shrink back. I'm not gonna worry until it's time to worry.....and that will be when I've been at goal for a year. I'll evaluate the folds then and if necessary have them fixed. At any rate, I'm sure it won't all go away, it's just a matter of how much is too much.

More questions

I dont want to barge in on anyones privacy, but I have been reading about endermologie, thermage and triactive laser I was hoping someone here had tried it. The laser is FDA approved and I looked at the before and after photos, but I am skeptical they just seem to good to be true, but then again my friends said medifast seems too good to be true.

Here's Nancy's latest post about her experience with loose skin. She also suggests doing a search with 'saggy' and 'skin' and her name as the author.
