I have a mini goal of 40 pounds by Easter and I didn't think I would make it but I really think I will now!!

Thanks for all the encouragement and advice.

That's great news. I don't know if I would have the strength to make it through a week-long plateau (let alone 2 weeks!) Stay strong everyone! :yeah:

Congrats on gettin off that palteau.I hate those.
Your right sometimes just switching up the routine does the trick or changing from mostly chicken, fish shrimp to beef one night or a couple boiled eggs..with the lean and green really wakes up the metabolism.

Good for you for sticking in there!!! Your doing great!

Hugs,
Gina

I was very excited to see the scale moving down. It seems like a real possibility that I will lose those last 2 pounds for my mini goal. I will let you all know!!! :puter:

Michelle...so what did you change around to facilitate this new pound droppage?

Curious minds want to know. :felix:

angie,

I have been doing the full fast since Monday - now I am doing this of my own free will and I did not go to the doctor for supervision (which MF urges you to do); however, I felt that I could do this for 3 days and then go back to the 5/1 for the rest of the week. I just wanted to try something different to see if it would shake my body out of its complacency. It appears that it did :D .

I had originally planned on doing a whole week but figured I probably shouldn't really do that if I wasn't closely under a doctor's care. So I opted for the 3 days. I also plan on doing meals differently when I return to 5/1 plan tomorrow. You know, different foods at different times and maybe 2 shakes for 2 of my five meals instead of one. I was going to stop my bars but I CANNOT do that!!! I so look forward to them at 2:30 with a cup of coffee or tea.

Anyway, that was what I did and it did seem to work. We shall see...I have 2 pounds to go for my mini goal of 40 pounds down by Sunday. You will all hear about it if I do it - I guarantee that!!!!
