new on program

Postby reformer » July 11th, 2006, 5:15 pm

Hello from Florida.
I started MF 4 days ago and have lost 4.5 lbs. I want to lose 35-40 (or more?) I am so excited. The food is fine by me for sure and not having to think or plan my meals is just what i need. My hubby wants to go on it for that reason alone even tho he does not need to lose. For years I have been going it alone and I now realize, I need help!! When I try to lose weight myself eating my own food, it is too easy to play mind games with myself (ie-i'll eat less tomorrow,or,it's only 200cal it won't make a difference.)kwim? MF makes cheating not an option. I need that structure. So far I have already been faced with some tempting situations but i now realize that is a given. mf gives me the willpower and the hope finally. I started at 162 on friday aft. and now am 157.5. I am 5'0". Also, I work the night shift so I never know when to eat b,l,d so now I just eat every 2-3 hrs while I am awake. This is just what I need. I can't get enough of reading and talking about it!

Hi reformer... Welcome !! WOOOOOHOOOOO... I know very much what you mean about needing the structure and that stuff... I have felt very much the same way. And, funnily enough, it makes me feel so safe. Congratulations on your wonderful start.

Happy to be shakin' with you :).

Welcome Reformer!

I am finishing my 4th day today, and also want to lose 35-40 pounds. I'm loving the structure as well. It is easy to have hard and fast rules - very limited choices means fewer chance of errors (short of flat-out cheating!). Let's do this together!
