Me too! I am 3 pounds away from the 70# club and can't wait. Unless I hit a stall I am shooting for the middle of next week.

Grrr...I'm hungry this evening, and my last meal was less than an hour ago.

My RTD shakes arrived. Well actually, only the chocolate ones arrived; the vanilla case is MIA. But the chocolate RTDs taste great, and this is going to make being on MF at work sooooo much easier.

Well, I'm going to bed, because I can feel bad choices in my bones. Bed and a good book should keep them at bay. And hopefully, I'll wake up with a great loss to report tomorrow.

Mavesse thanks for stopping by my journal yesterday and I must tell you that I am already so glad I decided to do Medifast instead of surgery. Just reading all the success stories make me so ready to get going on this journey. I look forward with great anticipation to the future me. Keep up the good work yourself. How does it feel to be below 200? I can hardly wait!

I guess before I go posting in other people's journals I should pay some attention to my own.

I was off the plan for much of last week and gained four pounds. How many different ways can I say I want to do better; I know I need this plan and I have to find a way to hang on because my life might very well depend on it? I'm beginning to bore myself, so I'll just note: it feels good to be back ;)

I'm going to look at a house today. It's about $30,000 more than I can afford but I'm scared to wait much longer before getting into the market. Three years ago, when I was just doing my practicum here, I found a little house that would have been perfect for me. It was $79,000, which would have been tough to afford (being in university) and I also thought it would be silly to buy a house in a strange town when I didn't even have a job yet.

Now the same house would be listed at almost double that price! :shock:

Hey girl...so glad to have you back :-P You'll lose those extra "little" pounds in NO-TIME!!..i did, and i'd gained 3 and not so long ago.

I'm not feeling so hot today. I guess I was off the program long enough to be putting myself through sugar withdrawals again, and I've had a headache since Saturday.

I want to stay positive, and there are good things happening for sure. For example, I know without a doubt that I'm in ketosis again, and the numbers on the scale will be dropping again soon.

And I think I'm making some tentative steps towards understanding how my spiritual and physical health are linked, which is huge for me.

And it's almost summer!

I'm looking to do something meaningful with my time off this year. It doesn't have to be major on a global scale or anything :lol: but a volunteer job would be cool. Last summer, my first summer as a teacher and my first summer off since I was about 11 years old, didn't really unfold as I hoped. My elderly grandmother became very ill and passed away, and a nasty fight for her money followed. I became really sad, and just didn't seem to lift out of it. Now, I'm thinking stretches of days on my own in my apartment probably didn't help. I love my alone time, but I can carry it too far.

Anyway, if anyone happens to stop by and knows of organizations that need someone, let me know :) Take care everyone, and thanks for being so inspiring--and welcoming when I come back with my tail between my legs :lol:

I feel the same way-I enjoy my freedom but am thinking of doing volunteer work through my church. Before I do that I need to take the major step and actually becoming a confirmed Catholic. I go to Mass, but I don't participate the sacraments such as Communion because I am not officially a Catholic. So that is my summer project.

Happy new year everyone!

It's been really fun peeking in everyone's journals and seeing the progress you've made while I was away!

I've also taken some time to read the back-pages of my own journal, but found no meaningful clues as to why I packed in Medifast six months ago. I guess I just hit a rough patch and gave up. But I'll have to deal with this in greater depth down the road. In the meantime, I have lots of shakes left over and a fresh order with cappuccinos and puddings on the way, so I'll be on plan again for the first day of 2008! :yay:

I don't remember what I weighed when I dropped out last June, but I'm certain I have gained all of the 18 pounds I lost and then some in the time I've been away. Physically, I've been feeling rotten: lots of sick days at work, and I'm smack in the middle of a bunch of tests with unhappy results, including outrageous blood pressure, an "irregular" electro-cardiogram and unhappy kidneys. I'm afraid I have Lupus--I know, I sound terribly negative, but it runs in my family and I have the usual symptoms my relatives have.

But on the good side, I bought my house! It's a darling, 100-year-old cottage with giant maple and oak trees, high ceilings, lots of windows, and deer nibbling at my shrubs. ;)

Also new and good: I found another hobby that doesn't involve food: singing. I joined my community choir last fall. Once a week I would turn up, wondering if this would be the night they would ask me to leave (I'm no talent, believe me!) but they never did, and I just love it.

Well, it's nearly midnight, and I should make some phone calls and get to bed. I want to start the new year as I mean to carry on...and that means a good night's sleep before a great day on plan.

Best wishes for your new year! How exciting to have your own home! Sorry about your health difficulties, but I think you know you will feel better on the program. It isn't a cure-all but it's virtually perfect nutrition and you will lose weight. So mentally and physically you should be getting better starting TODAY! And you're a singer now! I love to sing but am absolutely terrible. The only solace I have is that my husband is even worse. Congrats and welcome back! :)
