Thank you, DEE and JOY for stopping by. Looking forward to a goooooood week coming up.
Lots of things I want to do.
Today was busy...church, lunch at our favorite eating place, visiting a sick friend, walking/running the babies.
Keep up the good work, guys...I loved hearing from you.

My CHI, So happy you are back... :-P
And how is our little girl doing? I know she felt 100% better with you there.
Getting started back on walking exercise this week. DH and I have gone to the Y already 3 days this week.
It is only about 5 minutes away and a shame to waste a perfectly good Y membership, right?
Gotta beat back those few pounds gained while very inactive and resistance low.
We weren't reallyaffected by the terrible tornados you have no doubt heard about in parts of our state and other nearby states. But so sad and tragic for many.
Some rains and winds and today a bit on the cold windy side.
Thanks for popping in, my personal angel

Hi Liz,

I thought of you when I heard about the storms. How tragic tornados can be!

The weather is really nutty here, too. We've been having 50 degree days! - almost unheard of in February.

We hit a record the other day, over 80!! But then down to 30 that night. Crazy global warming.

Thanks for the thoughts, JO. Today and tomorrow it should be in 50's & 60's.We never know what the days will bring.
So sad about those who lost their lives in Arkansas, Tennessee, etc.

ROBIN, our daughter in Fort Worth lives near a park and she got out and walked her 4 miles in shirt sleeves, probably on the day you referred to.
We make hay while the sun shines!

Things are good here, I'm almost back in my comfort zone now---right on goal---but need to go down a little more for good measure.

Hey, Sweet Liz! Just touching base to say congrats on getting back into the "comfort zone!" I know it stressed you out to be edging up, but you took the reigns in and trampled the issue! Everyone here needs to know that this is what we do in maintenance, we watch the scale like a hawk, and if the numbers go above the zone, we reign it back in, right?

All of us, Nancy, Jo, Robin, Liz, and myself, have all been down this road - and the key is hyper-vigilance! Robin posted that article, as have others, that reaffirms the need to weigh in every day when you're maintaining, because that way we don't slide too far from goal and then lose control.

It's all about having control over the situation, and girl, you did it!

Cheers,

lauren

Thanks so much, LAUREN. What you're saying is so good, not just for me, but for everyone who reads this who is on maintenance or working to get there.
Weighing every day works. Even when it fluctuates up and down---which it almost always does---it is good training. I'll try to find ROBIN'S article you referred to.
It would be nice, perhaps, to nonchalantly drift along with the tide and hope that our weight will magically stay where we wanted it to be,
but of course that's how we got to where we were when it dawned on us that things had to drastically change, or else!
We are all most fortunate on this board to have you and the great role models you have mentioned above.
Yep, hawkish control is our key.
