8 lbs lost

Postby Allie » August 5th, 2006, 10:23 am

I weighed myself today, and I am 8 lbs down. That is really good news, except that I don't feel 8 lbs lighter. I'm sure that this is normal when you have 60-70 lbs to lose, so I will keep on keeping on. Maybe next week I will feel lighter or notice something.

You are doing great, Allie, it won't be long before you start to notice some changes, in the way you feel, your energy, your looser clothes. It doesn't take long on this program! Keep it up! :D

Whooo Hooo,
YOu are doing great. The pounds are leaving. Just keep on going.... they're gone -- it doesn't matter at all if you can feel it or not. Give yourself a couple of more weeks and then check. Soon your clothes will be tooooo big and you'll know for sure.

Hi Allie!! CONGRATULATIONS on shedding your first 8 pounds. I agree, at first it doesn't feel like a whole lot. (I weigh-in tomorrow for my official week one loss, but I'd down abotu 6.5 right now - can't really tell it.)

BUT...those pounds add up, I'm sure you'll see a diference next week. You are doing great....keep with it and you'll reach your goal soon! :D

Hi Allie!

First of all, congratulations on losing 8 pounds in only one week ... that's awesome!!!

I know, when we have so much to lose 8 pounds feels like 8 oz instead.

But just hang in there, do what's right and let conseguences follow ... in a couple of weeks you'll see a big difference in your body too.

Keep drinking your water ... that's vital for the weight loss! Remember, fat does not evaporate ... it needs to be flushed out of your system. And only water can do that more effectively.

Please, let me know if I can help you with anything!

Good job on 8 pounds down!!!
You may not notice much right now but just wait a bit and then start "shopping" within your own closet! I love to try on clothes that I haven't been able to wear in a while.....the scale doesn't always show a huge loss but the "ba-donkie-donk" and the "girls" are smaller so that makes things fit so much better. I called my hub at work the other day and reminded him of a shirt that I have not been able to wear for years, I got that stinkin' thing on and buttoned up, no pulling and OMG!!! It looked good! And I felt great! So just keep it up and it will keep coming off!!!

Now 152 1/2
G/W 135
HUBBY HAS MET HIS GOAL OF 155!!!! Go sweetie!!! :0)

8 pounds lost is a great accomplishment. You'll start to notice more as time goes by and your body starts changing. Oh yes, and your clothes are all too big and you have to go shopping for a smaller size. :D

Hey WAY TO GO ALLIE!!!! :D

I know what you mean - I have over 100lbs to lose. It seems like a mountain!! But, as they say: "How to you eat an elephant? One bite at a time" (okay, eating analogy probably not a good choice, ay? ha ha)

Just wanted to share that I felt the same way. I've lost about 14lbs. and wasn't feeling like there was much of a difference & I was feeling low. I decided to take a face shot & put it next to a shot of me in June before I found MF, and I could actually tell a little bit of a difference! It was just enough of a change that it kept me going... maybe you could try that :) If you want to see that side-by-side pic, just hop over to the Studio & look for my updated post there. It's not much of a change, but like I said, was enough to keep me going :)

Hang in there!! Inch by inch, it'll be a cinch!! 8)

Woohoo Allie,

8 lbs. loss is great.

When we have a lot to lose, initially it's not always noticeable. But a month from now, you'll really start to notice how you feel, look, clothes...

Just keep up the great work and the lbs. will continue to drop.
