Thanks, Ladies !!

I think today is day 6 or more ... I just got my new shipment of food, though I was sort of dumb and ordered 2 cases of pretzels, one of each kind. I say it's dumb because I am all out of supplement bars and I like those, too, and I am pretty sure I don't want pretzels for every meal ! Though, sometimes I came pretty close to that on my last order. Oh, well, I still have some good ole' packets left, too, of various sorts (still quite a bit of that).

Today I was 189 on the dot. I was telling my hubby this morning that it sure is motivating to almost *know* that it will be lower by tomorrow ... I know that doesn't always happen and sometimes it's actually the opposite, even when sticking right to plan, but there is seriously always a reasonable hope that it will be lower the next morning than the one before ... and that's pretty cool ! Been doing great and I plan to continue ! Cheers :).

I like the pretzels, but I have to agree-I wouldn't want them for every meal. I made the same mistake and bought nothing but puffs, pretzels, and RTD shakes. I got really bored really quick.

I did not buy crunch bars this past order and I'm sure missing them. I was eating mainly crunch bars and thought I should curtail that so I ordered oatmeal, appetite suppressant shakes, chicken noodle soup and some puffs. I miss the pretzels (did not think I would, so that surprised me) and I really miss the bars (knew I would, LOL).

You are going strong!

Thanks for stopping by, Ladies :). Yeah, actually, so far I am 'ok' with the pretzel situation ... I don't quite miss the crunch bars just yet, but the choco mint might be calling to me a bit in the near future :).

This morning I was back up a pound (190), but I woke up at about 4am and got up around 5am, so, although I love seeing the number drop and don't care too much for stalls or especially movement UPward, I will be patient with myself and the process and just deal with it like a responsible adult !

Overall, I am definitely feeling smaller and less disgusting and such ... that's good, I guess :).

Cheers to all, happy to be here and happy you are here, too :).

Hi Karli, your darn scale will show a drop in numbers soon...good for you that you aren't stressing over it. :) My scale is stuck more often than it moves. I know it will show a drop soon--so I'm not stressing over it either. Sure would be nice to have that instant gratification though......... :D Have a good day!

Thanks, T !

Well, I have decided to stay off the scale for awhile as it is actually getting to me a bit. Not getting enough sleep right now to have the discipline of eating right and staying on program really show up on the scale, apparently ! I start getting too obsessed with it and then it actually furthers my sleeping issues b/c I get anxious about it all ! Stupid ! So, I am just going to stay off for a while ... hopefully about a week, and let it work itself out. I had the brilliant :-P idea to treat the number on the scale as though that is what the scale weighs and not what I weigh, but, why bother with mind tricks ? :-P

Anyway, let's rock on, ladies !

Hope you slept well and are having a good day. My darn scale is still stuck so I'm having to remind myself that the program compliance will show up on the scale soon. :?

Arghy ! Well, sleeping has been pretty great, actually, guess what hasn't though ? Been trying to get myself together without posting about it because I want to be supportive rather than a downer, but I simply need the accountability ! Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow ! :3head: :nutz:

Karli, you can and will get yourself fully on program! You aren't giving up--you are working on it all the time and before you know it, you'll have gotten there. Don't quit, don't throw up your hands and just keep working on getting through each day on program. I know you will do it!

Hey, Karli!

You are one of the most determined and disciplined people I "know!" I don't mean that just about diet, but about life. You have a resilience that should not be undervalued, so many people hit a wall and give up, but you just find ways to navigate through the tough stuff, with eating, your music, career, etc., to find new ways to cope and thrive, and for that you should actually be really proud. The worst thing any of us (or any people at all) can do is give up on themselves. As long as we keep on chugging, keep on trying, keep on keepin' on, then we're fighting the good fight, and will come out stronger and better than we were before each battle. I know it can be exhausting for you to feel the struggle, but I think you're pretty amazing, and hope that you see how you inspire the other folks here with your "stick-to-it-tiveness!"

Cheers,

Lauren

I want to thank you ladies for such wonderful encouragement !! Your thoughts seriously put me back on my feet this morning and today is going really well. I would like to just expect that it can continue to go well like this ... I mean, there is no law in the world that really says it can't !! Having the accountability has been SO helpful.

Cheers !
