okeydoke, so I've been thinking of changing my goal incentive... instead of really nice jewelry, I'm thinking seriously of getting a tummy tuck... I have a reallly nasty apron of skin that comes from being fat when I was pregnant twice, and it's NOT GOING AWAY... I mean part of it is going away and I won't have the surgery until I hit goal obviously, but I can tell that some of it just won't go away, lots of flying skin, etc

so I might go in for a consultation here soon to find out how much I have to save up and how they want to handle it... I realize I still have some time but I probably need that time to save up the money ;)

I'm also realizing that these last ten to fifteen pounds may take some time... I'm okay with that, I just have to remember to be patient!!!!!! there's no hurry, I didn't gain that much weight overnight so I won't lose it overnight, right????

That is so true... and its great to hear someone say it like that rather than just get frustrated and give up because they aren't losing "fast enough". What is fast enough anyways?

Evolving into a person of healthy habits is not a speedy process, but it has taken me a year to learn that and have that be my measure of sucess.

best wishes,

anywho, am back on plan AGAIN (I refuse to call it a restart cuz I didn't completely go off plan, I would just eat medifast for awhile and then eat one meal off plan kind of thing, and i really don't want to call it a restart cuz then I get even more depressed and I'm trying to win a mental game here people! ) just wanted to vent a bit :-P

You are totally correct... its not a true restart. That would be if you totally went off and had whatever you wanted that was bad for you. Just remember, there is a new Dark Chocolate Shake (and a little PB2 added as a snack for your day). Its not a Reeses cup, but it could definitely satisfy an urge for a bit.

ayup, I bought several boxes of the Dark Chocolate shakes in my last order, I'm looking forward to them! especially now that I've discovered how to let them SIT for awhile before eating them, nom nom nom... summer is definitely a great time for shakes, especially when it's 95 degrees :|

YOWZA, I'm madly in love with the Dark Chocolate shakes!!! Altho they don't get quite as thick as the other shakes do, wonder why? :?: at any rate, they give me a nice chocolate fix without adding to my cravings, will definitely be ordering them again!

on the bummer side, my scale went up a half pound this morning :x stupid time of month *sigh* oh well, only a few more days and my inlaws will be in town to be shocked by my new appearance  should be fun!

Can't wait to hear about the shock-and-awe, Jayzoe!!

I haven't tried the dark choco shakes yet, but I'm lovin' the cherry-cranberry ones!

And I hear ya about the TOM -- I went up 3 lbs once because of it. Nice to know we have a reason though, huh? ;)

vacation all I never wanted, vacation time to gain some weight!

two weeks of having family members at the house did not make for a very good weigh in this morning, but I'm willing to accept the consequences for being off plan and start right back up today *shrug* I'm an adult after all, this is what happens when I overeat, and I'll just start back up and get back on track!

seeing my mom actually is helping with my motivation, I so do not want to be over sixty years old and trying to lose weight... she was very impressed with my weight loss (said that she almost didn't recognize me! ) so I told her all about Medifast and then proceeded to eat like crap the whole time she was here  oh well, it's over with now and in the past and today is a new day! had my cappuccino for breakfast, will have shakes the rest of the day I think cuz WOW do I love the Dark Chocolate!

anywho, back on track, back in the groove, etc!

Glad to see you back. And it's definitely better to lose the weight when you're younger. For starters, it's a LOT easier.

Amen to that Robin! Even trying to lose weight at 35 is much harder than at 25 or 30.

Good for you for getting back on track! You can do this!!! WE can do this!
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

So I'm finally breaking thru my stubbornness and I adjusted my weight on my ticker to be honest  I so didn't want to admit that I gained so much weight while being off plan, but if I want to keep myself accountable, I need to owe up to my issues.

And really, so I gained some weight, so what? I'm 100% back on plan and will STAY that way till goal!
