Hi Linda,

For some reason, my cappuccino has been lumpy the past couple of times I made it, too. My normal method to make it is to mix it in 8 oz of water, microwave for 1 minute, stir, microwave for 30 more seconds. This usually works for lump-free cappuccino for me. The last time I made it, I used hot water and it never dissolved correctly, even after I microwaved it.

As for the egg beaters, I tried the southwest style ones and they were pretty good. Granted, I haven't had real eggs for 4 months. I thought the egg beaters were better than the MF eggs. I think the MF eggs are ok, but they weird me out with their consistency in the skillet before they are cooked.

Oh and the oatmeal was my first MF meal and I almost cried because I thought I had wasted my money and that I was going to fail at yet another weight loss attempt (it was maple and brown sugar - still haven't touched it since). But now, I make the oatmeal cookies like on the box and eat them hot with some ICBINB spray. I love them! The pancakes are also great - just add more water to make the batter thinner than for the cookies.

I, too, hope your headache subsides. Take care :)

Hi Queenie! Thanks for stopping by! I love your new avatar. You look mischievious (not sure I spelled that correctly but you get the idea anyway) ;)

I am planning to make the oatmeal cookies and pancakes as soon as I have some of the MF scrambled eggs. They didn't come in the variety package. I wonder why not? Neither did the chili... I would have rather had half packages or more limited flavors of shakes and oatmeal and been able to try the eggs and chili. Oh well, next month. I have made up my mind to try everything and then if there are items I still cannot stand maybe I can trade them here or just save them for a time when I am more desperate? I would think having food left over I dislike would be dangerous though and make it more likely to veer off plan.

Maybe I will look for the southwest style egg beaters. I am assuming they already have some spices, and maybe peppers and onions in them? Thanks for the tip. You are inspirational and I enjoy your journal. :)

HOPE,
You are experimenting and doing great! It is true that your tastes change after you are on MF for awhile.
I was fortunate in that I like most everything, usually spicing things up!
Use your shaker for your cappuccino---use cold water and shake, shake.
then pour into your large mug, I add coffee to make almost two cups and really enjoy it. One of my favorites.
Never had any trouble with lumps.
Gotta go now.
Hey, I like your avatar in case I haven't mentioned it.

Thanks Lizabette! I will try shaking up the cappuccino next time.

I had my first bar today and Oh My! It was chocolate mint and I liked it a lot!

I talked to my HA today too and ordered a box of the scrambled eggs so I can make some cookies and muffins with the oatmeal.

I am over the hump for today and feeling good!

Today is day 3 for me and I am down 4 pounds this morning. I was down 2 yesterday but wasn't sure if that would change. Since I started on Friday I don't have much time behind me but my weigh-ins are set for Sunday so I guess I will post on the roll call thread anyway. If I wait until next Sunday it will be a 9-day weigh-in. What to do, what to do?! LOL

I'm feeling good and hope to accomplish a lot today. I have been working on decluttering my home and life for the last two years but it is a slow process for me. I can only take so much of it at a time!

I hope everyone has a great day and big losses! :D

Hi Linda,

Way to go on the 4 pounds since Friday!! You're doing great.

I don't make my cookies or pancakes with the MF eggs, just the oatmeal and water (and cinnamon and any other flavors you want). I use the recipe on the oatmeal box except I leave out the baking powder because it didn't make any difference in my cookies.

Hope you're having a great day!

OK then! Thanks Queenie. I will try that recipe while I am waiting for my eggs to arrive.

I'm having a great day so far. It is hotter than blazes here and I was sweating up a storm cleaning my bedroom and bathroom so I am taking a break now and cooling off. I was also running the dryer and the oven at that time too so that made my house hotter. I'm trying to get all the hot stuff done before the temps rise even more.

This heat wave sure makes the water go down easy though!

You have a great day too! :D

Lizabette - you must be right because the Orange Creme shakes taste a lot better today than they did the first day! I have had two of them so far today.

Day #4 and everything is going well. I am down another pound but I need to stop weighing myself everyday! I just added the stickers to my calendar for yesterday - I put one sticker on for compliance and one sticker for weight loss. I figure that way I have the opportunity to get AT LEAST 1 sticker everyday.

I had some leg cramps last night at bed time. I got up and took some magnesium which helped but magnesium always affects my bowels too and I am spending a lot of time in the bathroom!

Someone posted about putting soap in the bed to help with leg cramps. Does anyone remember who posted that so I can ask them for details?

Tracy - thanks for stopping by to say hi! I did enjoy my long weekend. Too bad I can't be wealthy. I could get used to being "retired". :)

I saw some of your posts around the forum and it sounds like you are moving right along too. You have had a great start!
