Graduation Party

Postby MusicalMomma » April 30th, 2006, 3:17 pm

A little background...My hubby, I and our kids moved from Delaware to Wisconsin last October. Our oldest daughter stayed behind with my parents, to finish her senior year of High School. She's in a technical high school, in the nursing program. So when she graduates she will be an LPN.

OK...so here's the story... She is graduating, valedictorian, May 30th. We're having a BIG party for her and this will be the first time I've gone home since Christmas. SO, the last time my friends and family saw me, I was 285 pounds!!!!!

I REALLY want to be 215 or less by then. I know that's a stretch, since that would be 4.4 pounds per week! I'd be thilled just to be under 220! I am staying 100% compliant, cut out the bars for the time being, drinking all my water, excercising lightly and PRAYING like crazy!

Anyway, I guess I'm rambling on because I'm asking for support, advice, prayer ANYTHING you can think of that will help me get to my goal by May 27th (the day we leave for Delaware).

Thanks my medi-friends :)

:exercise: Congratulations to your daughter! Wow, a high school diploma and a diploma for LPN! Quite an accomplishment! (my oldest daughter is graduating from high school in a few weeks too)

You have lost so much and you are doing so well -- even if you don't make that special goal number you have in mind, it won't matter, your daughter and your friends/family won't be telling you to get on a scale so they can check your exact weight -- they are going to be able to tell you have had major losses by your thinny body, face and your demeanor! :coolnana: You are doing it! :clapclap:

I will lift you up in prayer that you continue your losses and succeed with your goal -- with your determination you have won 1/2 the battle! :lightsword:

Again, congrats to your daughter (and to YOU!!) :partytime:

With a weightloss like yours, they will already be so proud, an additional 15 lb loss will not matter to them. So definitely don't stress yourself. If we set our goals too high and they are not attained, we feel like failures. so keep up the wonderful work like you have been doing and let the chips fall where they may...in the meantime I'll do a little eye blinking, ponytail bouncing, head bobbing thing that Jeannie does and that should just about take care of everything for ya!!

Joyce ~ Congrats to your daughter on Valedictorian and LPN (yeah - We need more nurses!!!). I think you can make it to your goal. Just do what your're doing and stick to the MF items with the lowest carb count and cut out all snacks. Can't go anywhere but down!

Joyce, of course we will support your goal, but don't stress yourself about it...that just might put you into a tailspin. Just think that even if you didn't lose any more weight than you already have - that is over 50 pounds difference from the last time they saw you. They can't help but notice that!

Congrats to you and your daughter on a great accomplishment!!
