....put me in the 60 pound club now? I feel like I've clawed and dragged myself there (for whatever reason, the latest ten pounds have been stubborn), so I am READY to head for the 70 pounders!

All aboard!

SRD,

YEAH!!!!! Fantastic - sixty pounds is great! I know I had some "decades" that seemed to take forever. The good news is that usually the next one went by really quickly!

Keep it up!

Yes, the last few pounds hang on to you for dear life but they have no chance with MF - they'll be outta there in due time - slowly but surely!!!

Absolutely fantastic! It's just great news to hear, and I'm on my feet with big applause and smiles.

Hey - this is GREAT news and I am so proud of you.

This is a difficult time for people to shake through the holiday foody events but you are showing others that it is totally possible to be a loser. :thumbig:

So happy for you. I like the way that you have set mini goals along the way - you are meeting them with success and a smile.

:scratchhead: Huh?
I'm gunning to get back to the 20's soon!

 Uh oh! You know what to do, Berk - it's not guns, it's Medifast! :toast:
You can do it! Sometimes during the busy times we forget to prepare ahead and then get caught off guard without our supply of Medifood.

It nearly happened to me the other day. I was out and about :veedub: and had :? forgotten to re-stock my trunk after I had shared some of my RTDs with people I met in the parking lot. I was running errands, ate a meal bar from my purse, slugged down several bottles of water, still bipping all about and it was approaching meal time and we were planning to go to a party later on that night so I was going to have 5 Medimeals that day. Here I was, a long-time EXPERIENCED Medifaster, caught without my Medigrub and fast-approaching the Starvin' Marvin Stage. (Folks, if you are not in the fat-burning state i.e. on maintenance, hunger is there and it is real! I am strict about what I allow to slide down my gullet - if it isn't quality, it's not goin' down the chute!)

What to do? I ran into Safeway and bought a 1/2 pint of skim milk. If you are caught without your shake or a bar don't use that for an excuse to go :devious: ballistic and visit the local gut bomb shop to snarf down a burger or fries and whatever ya do, don't call for the Pizza Dude!

Every town and berg has a Quickie Mart or Oh, Thank Heaven, a 7 - 11 were you can grab a half pint of skim milk. No, it is NOT particularly tasty (in fact, it is down right :puke: gross) but it will keep you in the fat-burning state, won't sacrifice your weight loss efforts, you'll feel a whole lot  better about your scale situation and it will move you closer to your goal.

:scratchhead: You choose (right), you lose. :boing:
:snooze: You snooze, you lose (at the losing game)... :brickwall:

(Not meant to harangue you, Darlin' but I wanted to use your experience as a  teaching tool for others...) still  me?

I have just got to brag for a minute. I managed to get through the best of the best foods ever family Christmas party WITHOUT CHEATING!!!! (I had small salad, 3oz beef tenderloin, chick/wildrice MF soup and later, MF bar for desert) I am soooooo proud of myself. I NEVER could have done this on any other weight loss program. I know, 'cause I have been on some kind of diet at the holidays every year for 12 or more years and have always caved in, first with "just a taste, then a bite, then just a spoonful, then...... well you know how it goes! This stuff really keeps me satisfied and has taken away the "urges". It didn't even bother me to smell the delicious smells or watch as others ate all the kinds of foods that put me in this shape to begin with. I went in with a predetermined plan and stuck to it and didn't even feel deprived! I feel good about the self control and know that "that kind of practice" will do me in good stead when I am on maintenence. That will be a long time from now, but then again, I will need LOTS of practice with self control. Those of you lurking, just thinking about maybe trying Medifast.... I cannot tell you enough good things about it. It is absolutely a miracle for me!

Way to go Karen!
It's great you're thinking about the future too. In a way, people with a little more weight to lose, have an advantage over people with less weight to lose. This gives them time to think about life after the weight loss phase, and build good habits of eating regular, portion controlled meals throughout the day. Oh....and don't forget the water. That's one habit you'll always want to continue.

Berkie!
Don't make us send Guido over there.

Karen, so proud of you, Sweetie!

Yeah! :kool: :hi5:

Now just keep on practicing!

(Nancy again failed to log in...someone's been messin' with my 'puter...sorry. I am happy for your success, Karen. I was very successful tonight, too. I told the cheesecake and the death by chocolate pie that it had no power over me and I sashayed right by it at the CHRISTmas party tonight in my size 4 leather pants...and I felt really hotsy totsy. Because I can.)
