Getting Back on Track AGAIN!!!

Postby gerimarc » April 13th, 2005, 8:23 am

Hi Everyone. Glad to be back.

 I started back on my Medifast journey the middle of last week. I
decided I wasn't going to beat myself up if I strayed, but would try
as hard as I can to stay on track. I found it difficult to lose
the weight my first go round with Medifast because I was going thru
menopause. I persevered and lost almost 30 pounds in three
months. Wow, what an accomplishment that was. So why did I
sabotage it? Can't answer that. All of a sudden I woke up and now
back where I started.

I did lose about three pounds since I started last week. Guess
that's a good sign. :) I have started walking at lunch time. I live
in NJ and the weather is getting nicer. I have my shake and take a
40 minute walk and go back to work. Try to do that several times
during the week. I also try to use the stairs (three flights)
instead of the elevator whenever I go anywhere in the building.

So, what I'm trying to say is I am taking little steps, one day at a
time.

Geri, someone once told me to not take it one day at a time but one hour at a time and if that was too much try one minute at a time. You see every minute, every hour and every day that you stay on track is one minute, one hour or one day that YOU have been in control of what you eat instead of food being in control of you.

Don't even think about what went wrong last time. :scratchhead: Just think about what is going right this time. I know Geri, I did the same thing. We can do this, we will do this. We are already skinny in our minds, our bodies just have to catch up.

Glad to have you back.

HOOOOOOOOOOOORAY DONNA!

Postby LilMsTexas » April 14th, 2005, 8:24 am

Now Donna........don't you lose that weight TOOOO fast now!! I can't have ALL of you on maintenance while I still have so far to go  You'll just have to pick a new goal when you get to 140 and make it like 135 or something ;)

I saw 169 for the first time this week in a VERY long time!! My DH is TDY this week and when he comes home tomorrow there'll be 3lbs less of me than when he left!! I sure would like to be at 166 by the end of this month (of course less) but I want to have 20# gone by the end of the second month.

And.............WELCOME GERI!! It's so nice to have a new friend on our journey here in mediworld :D Congratulations for loving yourself enough to come back to the path.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Awww thanks guys! I wanted to weigh bec. I had to see my Dr. this morning and wanted to see how different the scales were. After showering, drinking tons of water and eating a MF meal this morning the Dr. scale was only 2 lbs different (higher) but I was not worried. I know scales are different and as Dean pointed out in another thread when you weigh makes a difference. So that is one reason I got on the scale so I didn't FREAK out when the Dr. scale was different.

Anywho....thanks again for noticing and LilM Yahoo on the 160's! You should be very proud! And don't worry- we're not going anywhere! Due to my sensitive stomach and my upcoming trip in 37 days (but who's counting ;) ) I have begun to slowly add more food in which will probably slow me down anyway. I am now eating 2 oz of sliced turkey with my 6 MF meals. With Nancy's kind instructions I am taking this V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y!

Have a great day everyone! And thanks again!
