Getting back to "normal"

Postby Jeanette » September 10th, 2004, 12:36 pm

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for all the prayers and thoughts for me the last few weeks. What a wild month it has been! Since August 13th, I have:

--been divorced
--moved 1100 miles away from home
--started a new job
--have endured TWO hurricanes, with a good possibility of a third!

Geez, no wonder I feel so stressed! :x

I definitely have NOT been on program since all of this, and unfortunately the scales show it. Now that I am more or less settled (as settled as one can be during hurricane season in Florida!), I am ready to get back on track and get this weight off once and for all.

I know I posted a "do over" a few weeks back, but I think I am entitled to another one--don't you think?

Anyway, glad to be back! I have LOTS of reading to do it looks like!

Welcome back and good to see you Jeanette,

You've REALLY been through the wringer in ONE MONTH!!!
You redefined a major relationship, relocated to an entirely different environment, renewed your career, and reorganized yourself and everything you have around 3 hurricanes! You deserve a REWARD!!!!

We are SO happy you are back!

It's not a "Do Over" if that indicates failure of any kind - it's a continuation of your MF journey!

Hey, Jeanette,

Welcome aboard. This ship sails on much calmer seas, and it seems you know that already. I think you'll be glad to settle into this routine and be lulled by the shake, shake, shake of each and every day.

Divorce is a good time to begin anew, to shake off the dust and become happy again. I'm hoping you find that happiness. Glad you're here! 8)

Welcome BAAAACK!! so glad you are MAKING it thru all this....when I was little my mother used to always tell me "god dosent give us more than we can handle"....Ive come to find that this is so true!!

OF COURSE you are entitled to another start....Ive had so many of them its hard to keep track now a days..but the important thing is not to GIVE UP....DONT give it up, just get back on track when you are ready too...

;)

Mother Teresa once said that she believed that God would not give her more than she could handle....but sometimes she wished He didn't trust her quite so much!!! ;)

I know I've felt that way...and I'm sure you have too, Jeannette. We're all SO impressed that you've made it through this increadibly tough time.

Here's another favorite saying of mine that I believe is both appropriate and true: Whatever doesn't kill us will make us STRONGER!!!

Here's to YOU, Jeannette :toast:

Welcome back Jeanette! With the topsy-turvy life that you have had over the past several months, you are definitely entitled to a do-over. You're only human afterall :). It takes so much mental focus not only to be on Medifast, but to embark on any serious life change; so naturally, it's hard to be on Medifast when/if our attention is diverted to other important and/or stressful things.

Wishing you a successful re-start to your MF journey!

Sheryl

Jeanette ~

Since you have experienced enough BIGGIES for a lifetime, let alone over a period of one month, we will gladly give you a FREE PASS to jump on the train to Thinsville. We've been waiting for you at the station, Friend.

It is GOOD NEWS to hear from you and to know that you are alive and reasonably well.

Shake it up, 'Nette. We KNOW you are on your weigh with us!
