Back from Vacation and Back TO MEDIFAST!!!

Postby MusicalMomma » March 20th, 2006, 5:46 am

Hello all...I'm back from Vacation in beautiful Orlando Florida! The weather was BEAUTIFUL :shades: ...Disney was CROUDED :3head:...I was sick :puke: most of the week. BUT we had our own pool, made it to the parks any way and managed to have a great time!

Jon and I did not stay compliant and gained 3lbs !! And didn't get in NEAR enough water!!! So the next three days will be a little rough. But I AM so glad to be home, in my own bed, back on medifast!!! I know those three pesky pounds (and hopefully a couple more) will be gone by next Sunday's roll call!

I missed posting with you all and ENJOYED reading Sunday's roll call!!! Falisamarie...YOU ROCK!!! MS. 40# CLUB!!!!

I thought that food would be the challenge when I was travelling a couple of weeks ago--but it turns out it's water! It's so hard to get it all in when you don't know where the next bathroom will be. ;)

I think you'll be surprised how quickly those extra pounds come off once you're getting hydrated again.

Welcome back!--glad you had fun.

I'm glad your trip was good all said. I have several family trips planned this summer and I'm already stressing how I will make sure to stay on plan! I'm going to buy some RTDs, so I think that will help. But the water thing is going to be tough. Normally I drink 100oz of water a day on top of all the other liquids - shakes, soups, bouillon, etc. - and I swear make almost as many trips to the bathroom! I just don't think my DH will want to pull over every 20 minutes when we're on the road!

I think you'll do better than you think the next few days. Your body will remember quickly how it was to be on MF!

Drink Up!

(((( MOMMA ))))))

We missed you - so glad you made it home safe - but sorry you weren't feeling well. Were you sick or was it "demon food?" Just curious as I will be going on vacation and need to know these things :)

Those 3 pounds will be GONE in no time!

Welcome Back,

Yay!!! Hi, Joyce! :D

I made it back from vacation yesterday too. I also wasn't perfect but I didn't weigh in...I am waiting until next week's roll call so I can weigh in after being back on track for a full week. Don't worry that you guys slipped up a little bit, you were on vacation and things are always more difficult when your typical schedule is messed up!

Anyway, I missed you lots while I was gone and I know Lisa was going nuts without her other two Musketeers around! Glad you're back, and now we have to get down to business and start shaking!

Joyce

Glad to have you back with us :) Those 3 pounds are probably just water and travel weight a lot of people retain when they have to travel, especially if flying. They will be gone in no time.

Thanks for the warm welcome back everyone! :)

Smarti..I was actually sick with a bad sore throat and flu like symptoms...going to the doc tomorrow

Aphrael, thanks for the info on flight weight gain...I always noticed I felt bloated after flying, but never knew that flying can cause that. Phew, that's a relief! I knew I wasn't 100% compliant...but I never went crazy or over ate. :)

Everyone's right, it's probably just water and will be gone in no time. And water is definitely the hardest thing in those situations. I try to guzzle it whenever I know a bathroom will be nearby (on car trips, I bring it along in the car and start drinking bottle after bottle about an hour before I know we'll be stopping for food or gas, then usually stay long enough to go a couple of times before we hit the road again; then I make up for the whole day when I'm at the hotel - I'm usually running half the night that way, though).

Or there's always Depends.

I agree with Lynda that it's mostly cutting down on the water. I travel 250-280 days a year and when I don't get my water, I blow up like a parade balloon! Don't worry about it! You'll be back on track in no time.

Welcome home!
