Brandi ~

Woo Hoo! 3.5 pounds! Very good!

You are brave to go camping so soon after starting your program...

remember this: NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!

Shakes will be so easy for you to prepare while you are away. Stay away from camping food as much as possible!

Brandi, these first days and weeks are VERY important to your succcess on the Plan.

Do NOT cave in. IF you do, you will have to start all over again. You are almost to the "NO HUNGER" or fat-burning state - we KNOW you can do it!

You know I didn't realize it was that much. I have just been taking it one week at a time and celebrating each lost. Hey, I'm really doing GREAT :kool:  One thing I have found, I thought I would times when I would want to cheat, but that has not happened. I LOVE ICE CREAM, and I haven't even thought about it. I have never been a person to diet, so I was really looking to fail. I didn't eat large meals but JUNK Food JUNKIE was my name. I just resolved myself to be FAT and that was okay.People would just have to accept me as I was, but deep down I didn't like me. I am also learning I'm pretty TERRIFIC. In the past few years I have had some major set backs in life and lost the CONTROL of everything I thought was important including the ability to work at a job I loved, and a major illness for a close family member. While he closed one door this is my open window and I am taking advantage of it. Self esteem was not part of me but at 55 yrs old I am becoming a new person, and I can see myself reaching the goals I have set and maybe more! No more invisible person for me. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the support I have received from all of you and I hope I can give the same to some one else. Because if I can do it anyone can. I didn't mean to go on but maybe this will help someone going through the madness of life see it is possible to suceed even in the midst of it all. :hi5:

Vegas Star ~

Isn’t it ironic that it has taken us a long time to come to the conclusion that life is to be lived, that there are great things yet to do and that at the age of 55, we can make positive changes?

You mention the fact that you just sort of gave up and began to stand in the background of life and watch it happen. Check out two of my Newsletters that address that very topic.

Folks, only YOU can decide what you are going to do with the days of your lives. More than anything, we want YOU to be healthier. Losing weight is NO guarantee that everything will be hunky dory in your life, that all of your problems will disappear and that you will suddenly be happy and carefree. I can tell you that losing a load of lard changed my life substantially and there is NO way that I EVER wanna go back to being the flabulous lady I used to be. Thinner and healthy is a whole lot better than fatter and unhealthy. Thinner and poor is a whole lot better than fatter and poor!

Go for it! Grab that packet, rip off the top, shake it up and drink it down. I know that it is hard to believe, but there is so much more to life than food!

why must they do this?
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

That's the second time in this journal. I just deleted the post before.

They can only post in current posts now thanks to Unca's wizardry. So, they have to actually go into an existing post and do that.

Why do they do it... because they are foolish and have no integrity... ;)
