Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 12th, 2006, 5:22 pm

I know what you mean! I'm sleeping like a baby again finally now. YET ANOTHER THING I MISSED WHEN I WAS OFF-PROGRAM!

I agree with jo...be careful with the SF creamer and stuff. I notice my cravings go up on days I have SF Jello, AND SF crystal light...The splenda hits my cravings, so I knew I had to watch it! Other than that! Keep up the water, make SURE you get all your MF meals in and keep posting!

You're doing GREAT! The core and shaping back up will come. You've been through a lot! You're right about all that though, just the 10 times I've been on my pilates machine already has me standing up straighter and feeling better about my posture (I don't have the DDD's to deal with, so...a problem I WISH I had!)

Thanks for the thought-I had to run and check the label on my s/f creamer, and there is 1carb per serving, probably the same as half and half, due to the lactose. But I can see how "fake" sweet things can make u want "real" sweet things. I think maybe thats why....

hmmm thinking...

I ate s/f jello...began making coffee...maybe that triggered some thing. Cool. I just need to keep sticking to quickstart.

Gonna weigh myself tomorrow. Check in to see if theres a change from Day 12 to Day 18!

Oh, and I just wanted to add that I have been cruising the boards for moivation and Karli!! WOW!! We have similar stats-I'm almost 29, and close to 6'0--and look how quickly you lost weight! In a few short months, you have made enormous changes. When I read journals of people that have come so far, people who started out with as much doubt as I sometimes feel, and yet still made it!! It's such an encouragement to keep plugging, and its also humbling. I really need to hear what each of you success stories has to say, even if it is about my precious creamer! B/C ultimatley, you have been there, and have my best interests at heart. For that, i thank u!!

I don't have cravings but I just feel toxic when I drink too much Crystal Light. I keep watering it down but-too much of a good thing! Also, I try not to drink Crystal Light in place of water, even though some people do. It is just my extremism-I will go half a day without drinking PURE water because I get hooked on my peach iced tea.

I totally dilute my crystal light. I use those to go packets and use them for 3 bottles instead of one!

I'm a former Diet Coke aholic, so I use it instead of DC sometimes...I make sure I get about 72oz of pure water and the rest is Diet Coke and SF/CL.

So far today I have had 72 oz of pure water and some Diet Cherry Pepsi. I use the bigger packets of Crystal Light and mix it myself, by the glass which is why it gets obnoxiously strong sometimes! I am about to have a supplement and then probably veg in front of the television.

Nothin'!!

Postby FertileMyrtle » December 13th, 2006, 6:48 pm

Alrighty, I have not lost any weight this week. Despite a bite of a fishstick and that popcorn, I dont understand this when my calories are still below 900!! I've been drinking water! And even though I am seeking support, I do so to keep me away from major cheats! I've had moments, but not all out binges, and my momensts arent like McDs or a snickers!! Hmmm...pondering....but still, even if I hit week 3 on Fri and nothings lost, its still an average of 3lbs a week. Has this happened to you??

Almost exactly. I have worked the program perfectly. Except when I haven't. Not eating enough. Exercising too much in the very beginning. Not sleeping. Having that one night stand with ChefBoyardee. A piece of swiss cheese. Yesterday a WHOLE bowl of cereal after two Medifast breakfasts. I can rationalize all of these but when it comes down to it, I can't call it a stall if I haven't been working it as it is supposed to be worked. Half measures avail us pretty much nothing. We have about the same start date so I can really relate...

Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 13th, 2006, 7:10 pm

I know how you feel. My body is weird. It holds onto food all week and lets go of some of it at the end of the week. I feel your frustration...but stick with it...work the plan, nothing in my mouth that isn't in the quick start guide and it will start working...

Don't let it get you down. It'll get moving!

Have you thought of kicking the scale to the curb until say 1-1? If you will do the plan, get the water in, I think you will have a nice start to the New Year, just don't get frustrated, okay you are already frustrated, but don't let it take you off the long term...really you can do it!

Medifast is not very forgiving.

One nibble every 3-4 days = no weight loss.
You have to follow the plan.

Yipee for me, 100% compliant today! I even went to Panera for a birthday party and didnt take a single bite. Not that I wanted a thing. I'm serious again- cheating is simply not an option!! After a week of no loss, I am not wasting any more time. Donuts arent ceasing existence, so when I am 155, I can sure get one. I have the rest of my life to either be overweight and cheat, or I can focus thse next few months on dwindling down to the normal me. This will build character, and give me a sense of personal accomplishment. It's funny, now that I dont work outside the home, there is no personal recognition-no paycheck or awards. My kids will soon show fruit of being raised up right, but there is something about doing something for me, by me, just me, that I miss. But at the same time, I think "Nows not your time, Andrea. Give it all away to your family." As if me improving myself physically is selfish. I think all the time about impact on my children, but I am always the last person I think about. I think, in a sense, food is entertainment for me. I am involved in things like volunteering and church and stuff, but I am a stay at home Mom, and with 3 little ones taking naps all day, its imperitive that I am home. Besides, where ya gonna go with 3 babies? Home is where its at for awhile. Cooking is my daily personal accomplishment, cooking is my creative outlet. I love to come up with homemade gourmet dishes out of whole foods. But I also like to eat a lot of it, once a day and I know my metab. is so confused. I have trained my body to enjoy the warmth of baby fat. Makes me think--if it takes 3500 calories to burn a pound, how many extra calories did I consume to gain this weight?? 3500 x 30 lbs!! You know how long that would take to work it off without changing my food intake?? I thought if I excercised it would just melt off like the good ol' days. But I'm oit in Kansas anymore, Toto. If Kansas is hot, sweaty Florida.
Well, thanks for the boot camp drill, ya'll. Let's move on!

Whoahhhhh....today has been so difficult!! But, so that you are not held in suspense, I have been a verrry good girl.
Even though I made fudge for the orphanage, and caramel popcorn...and the fact that I made my hubby broiled french bread with roasted garlic, tomoatoes and cheese, and pasta with marinara....
I think making it satisfies something in me!
And then the kids all screamed and whined during dinner and al I wanted was to eat the whole plate of fudge.

My hubs, however, has one complaint. Which, by the way, is ironic since he is a smoker, but...

Why does my breath stink???? I mean, stannnnk!! Is this a ketosis thing? Its been this way since about a week into MF. I think it's a great mode of proection and arm twister...
