Eating Dreams?

Postby Ketann » June 22nd, 2006, 5:59 pm

Last night I dreamt I ate a mango and knocked myself out of ketosis. This seemed weird to me. Anyone else have these types of dreams?

I have. In fact, every Yom Kippur I dream that I woke up, forgot what day it was, and ate breakfast instead of fasting. I dream that I caved in and cheated on Medifast probably every week or two.

I've had several dreams like that. Usually in my dream I realize what I'm doing and feel horrible guilty, or quit eating it. They were really bad in the beginning. I haven't had them so much lately.

I feel guilty when I wake up, and I dread getting on the scale. It usually takes me awhile to convince myself it was just a dream.

Now I don't feel so crazy. I felt guilty too, until I completely woke up. I guess when you get so dedicated it is normal. I hope I don't have too many of these. For now, I'm keeping fruit out of the house. :)

I wish I could enjoy the dream-cheating more. Savor every bite, you know?

For me it is almost EVERY FREAKING NIGHT! Last night it was like 3 pounds of M&M's and some kind of chicken spaghetti dish the other it was bologna and cheese crackers. When I wake up I'm angry/depressed and scared to get on the scale. Of course having so far stuck very tightly to plan the scale has yet to disapoint. Thank you MF!

What about those people who actually sleepwalk to the fridge and eat? If I ever do that (and thnakfully I don't sleep walk) I'll buy a lock for the fridge and let my husband set the code.

DOgMa you're right though it would be nice to be able to enjoy those sleeping binges. Sigh....

I too have had one of these, once. It was frankly quite wierd to me.

As far as sleep walking, Joelie and I emptied our fridge the day I started on the plan. All that is in the apartment is MF foods and our Lean & Green stuff. Bare fridge = healthier us without temptations! I know not everyone can do that, but it sure worked for us.

Seems weird to me as well? A cheeseburger or a large pizza I can understand...but getting knocked out of ketosis by mango now that's weird!

You think that's weird! I had a sleep-eating incident a while back...no recollection, ate in my sleep. Know what I had? Yup, a MF bar! Threw the wrapper on the floor and went back to bed! I'm having dreams about grapes, so I understand the mango thing!
