dry skin?

Postby oregonrose » September 2nd, 2007, 10:14 am

has anyone experienced dry itchy skin while on medifast? I guess it might be from the absence of oils in the diet, My face is very dry - using lots more moisturizer - even throughout the day - acne has certainly gotten better, so thats good, I think I will really make sure I am drinking enough water and see if that helps. any input is appreciated.

Not dry, but when I started losing quickly I had alot of itchiness. I was told it was due to the quick loss.

Hi,
I had extremely dry skin the 1st month or so. It's gone now.
I started taking flax seed oil and that seems to help.

My skin is already dry and my hair is already thin :( but the first time I was on MF a couple years ago it got a lot worse. This time around I take flax seed oil everyday and also Omega 3 capsules and I haven't had much problem.

My skin isn't dry but two different stylists have commented that my hair is extra dry. I get my hair cut so often you would think the new stuff hadn't had time to get dry. I bought this stuff called Cibu Hi-Ya Reconstructive Conditioner that you have to leave on for up to 30 minutes and add heat by wrapping a warm wet towel around it. It works well, but only lasts a few days.
