Brenda~I'm sure there are other options with an English degree. What about being an editor or a journalist???? Hmmmm. I think law school sounds interesting, though. I'm trying to convince my youngest son to go to law school, but he wants to be an FBI agent or something like that. I think he has watched the Bourne movies too many times.

Day 5

Well today was a snow/ice day here is frozen Missouri. I really didn't want another snow day because now we will have to go to school the day after Easter. It will probably be sunny and beautiful.

I have done well today. My DH was home because today is President Lincoln's B-day. I can't believe he gets off for that and President's Day. Go figure.

I think it helped having him at home because we did a few things around the house that we have been wanting to do. Ha....Get your minds out of the gutter....we were putting up towel racks in the bathroom, etc.

As Brenda stated above....I am starting to feel better and getting into a groove here. I was actually excited and looking forward to my Medi-meals today instead of dreading them and feeling angry at myself. It is a good feeling. I'm looking forward to tomorrow too. :D

Way to go Doni! Isn't the Medizone the best place to be? When I get really into that zone, I even forget to eat which I know is not good at all, but it is better than constantly obsessing about food.

Hey, you should join our contest over in the weight room. I know you would be joining late, but most of us have had a rough start of it. There is prize money for the winners. One winner will get half of the pot for losing the most % of inches and one will get the other half for losing the most % of weight. Come and join us - it is fun to be competitive.,

I thought about joining the challenge, but I'm not sure what all is involved. I didn't take my measurements.

I have a little bit of a dilemma...maybe you guys can give me your suggestions. Do I use my starting weight as of last year when I started or do I use the weight I was when I started this time? I'm not sure which to use. Technically I did lose the weight using MF, but I don't want it to appear I lost more than 10 # the first week????? I don't know???? It is only a five pound difference (5pounds less than last year)

You can post in your siggy that you lost this much during that time period then post this much during this time period. For your ticker, I would only use the "re-start" weights.

As for the contest. You can take your measurements not. Look at the thread - most of us are hap-hazard right now as far as compliance so you joining us late shouldn't make any difference. If you want to know more send me a PM and I will explain. There is another thread on the same forum as the challenge that I titled something about "such a loser" that has some info on it too. We would love to take your mone.... I mean have you join our friendly competition with the hopes of winning the pot of gold at the end  .

Day 6~

Well....I've made it through another day. Day 6 is down and I'm ready for day 7. It is amazing how just a few days ago I didn't have faith in myself that I could start fresh and make it an entire week.

I can't say it has flown by.....it has been a long week, but I am thankful that I have stayed compliant and really feel like I am in the zone. <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_11.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_1_11/image.gif">

Bren...I'll PM you tomorrow about the challenge.

DeDe.....I really missed you too. We are going to do this....I just know it.

Oh, the zone! You are just riding the wave now - ain't it sweet!?

When I look back on my journey thus far, I can't believe how fast the time really did fly. Back in September, if someone had told me that I was going to be 80 pounds lighter on Valentine's Day of '08, I would have bet them money they were wrong. I just never thought I could do such a strict program. Re-starting after my sebatical due to my surgery has been a really rough road, but I am still losing.

Can you send me some of your courage and power that has kept you compliant for the last week? Sure could use it here in Ohio.

Ha Bren....today has been rough. My students brought me all kinds of candy etc. I just gave it away like I heard others suggest somewhere here on the forum.

My DH did buy me my favorite Valentine's candy....chocolate covered strawberries. He ordered them before he realized I have been back on MF. I don't really blame him, because I have kept it pretty quiet here at home about coming back here and re-starting once again. I didn't really tell them because they have watched me start and re-start several times over the past 6 months. My DH said he thought I was actually sticking to it so he wasn't sure if he should give me the strawberries. I did eat one, but I'm gonna share the rest with my family.
