Thank you guys so much for the well wishes and the welcome backs. I have definitely missed the support. It was so good to see some familiar faces and the new ones too. I'm looking forward to being here with all of you.

Today is DAY 2. So far......so good. I have been keeping busy all day. I am struggling some with wanting to eat, but I am trying to ignore those thoughts or just drink some more water. I am also home alone right now, which is not always a good idea, bc food is too easy to get to.

It is going to be impossible to catch up on everyone's journals, so I apologize right now, if I have missed some events in each of your lives.

Here's to DAY 2 being half over. :toast:

Day 3

Well....I'm on day 3 with no cheatin. :bananadance: I've been trying to keep myself very busy so that I am not tempted to cheat. I've never really had to be tempted to cheat.....to cheat.....it has always come pretty easy for me. I wish staying compliant could be as easy.

I still don't understand how I could be so strong for 6 months and then just totally go the opposite direction for 6 months. Why couldn't I stop myself????? I have to stop thinking about that because I just get mad all over again when I think about it. :x

I had a friend of mine tell me....I didn't fail.......I just delayed success. Boy....did I ever. I guess it's about time to stop delaying my success and stay focused.

Doni, you have had a lot to deal with. I've found that part of the weight loss process is learning the "why" behind my disfunctional eating habits. Focus on the plan and learn your "why's" and you will have long term success!! I'm here for ya! :D

I'm happy to see you again Doni! :)

You've done the hardest part, making the decision to come back. AND, day 3 is over.. it's all sunshine and happy days from here!

I know it's hard to not beat yourself up over that 6 month rough period, but truthfully, no one here will judge you. We're all just happy to have you back, and ready to give you support.

Keep it up! :)

Day 4~

Well I've made it through another day. It does seem to be getting a little easier with each day to stay compliant. I've been saying all along if I could make it an entire week, I think I could get back on track. So far....so good. I will have my first test this weekend as we will be going out of town. I have already started mentally preparing for it and thinking about what I will need to take in order to stay on plan. I really don't want to blow it. I finally feel like I am regaining control.

I have been thinking about going back to school and getting another Master's Degree, except this time is Educational Administration. I'm not really excited about the idea, but I believe it will be necessary for me in order to achieve some of the career goals I have. I definitely do not want to be a principal, but there are other administrative areas I would like to pursue. I finished my first Master's Degree in 2000, while my boys were young. Now I have one in college and one is a junior in high school. I wish I would have gotten my Master's in Administration to begin with. Kind of ironic......I don't really enjoy going to school.

DeDe~ I do want this to be our year. Not only do I want to successfully lose the weight, but I want to learn to maintain it as well. Fortunately we have some great examples right here.

Well on to read some other stuff.

Good luck with that Doni, Di did it and it was a tough go, but its doable. I have had no desire whatsoever to do so and never will.

TSFL is our love now and Di is part time this year because of it. I am hoping next year will be my last (really hoping that this year is). ;) Its nice to work less and enjoy what you are doing.

Keep up the great work, its seems to be going well.

Thanks Brenda.....I haven't completely decided yet if I will go back to school. I do have one in college now and one starting college in a year and a half. I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for it. Ha!!!

I, too, am considering my future and the possibility of furthering my education. I have an English degree right now, which is basically worthless without a teaching degree to go with it, but I can't teach. I am thinking about law school, but I am not sure where the money will come from. Maybe there will be a pot of gold at the end of my ankle issues - I don't know...

Anyway, I am glad to see you are back on track with MF. Also thanks for such a kind message about me in the other thread.

I really think we all need a time out here and find some good things to say to each other!

Blessings,
