Doing great and feeling good

Postby worldawind » May 1st, 2007, 3:55 am

Well week 10 and I'm down 22.2 pounds. I'm feeling so good. Went to a party Saturday and say some family I haven't seen since October and everyone commented on my face - how good I looked. At least these women were smart enough to realize when your face goes down, so does the rest of your body.

This is enough motivation to keep me good when I go to Vegas May 14th. I had already decided to bring along the food with me and this just reinforces how important it is to keep true to the program no matter where I go.

thanks for your continued support.

I am so glad your family noticed. I think it is great that you are already planning on staying compliant on your upcoming trip to the world of buffets.

That's great! Just keep in mind that those buffets aren't that great, what do you expect for chump change? ;) Actually the Luxor had a decent one, lots of healthy choices.

I'm actually staying at the Luxor but I don't have to worry about the buffets because my husband won't eat at them. He doesn't like people playing with his food. I guess it's out of sight out of mind type of thing because really who knows what goes on in these kitchens.

When I was in Vegas, I had the worst time finding low fat/low carb dressing. Everyone wants to sell you Ceasar salad, dressing already on it.....so you might want to take your own.

How neat that you got those compliments!

Enjoy Vegas, I love going there to see all the sights and people watch. I've not been there for 8 years...probably lots of new buildings and changes.

I hope you have a great time and good for you for taking your program foods along!

I went to Vegas in December for my birthday. We stayed at the Luxor. Are you staying in the tower or the pyramid? Our room was in the Pyramid - was disapointed because the room didn't have a tub - only a shower stall. I had stocked up on bath melts and bath bombs from Lush to soak in and I couldn't use them :(

I'm itching to go back - maybe a day trip to buy a new purse since I did recieve a few coupons. Coupons = saving money ;) I'd drive out there this weekend but with Cinco de Drinko and the de La Hoya fight - nah uh.
Start date: 2-05-07

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

We have been going every year for a very long time already. We have stayed at most of the hotels, the luxor at least times, the last time being 2 years ago. I like staying at Ballys because it's in the middle of the strip. I want a room in the pryamid because I like being in the center of things. I don't care about a tub because when I go away I won't sit in anyone's bathtub, just one of my quirks I guess.

We do tons of walking when we are there, even in the heat. We just make sure we have bottled water with us at all times.

I do remember them always pushing the ceasar dressing. I'm probably not going to have salad. I'll stick with the veggies, easier. I'm going to bring shakes, bars (which I'm hoping won't melt too much at the pool), and puddings. It won't be easy but I'll do the best I can. You can always buy a cold bottle of water and mix the shakes and puddings. There is no microwave so you can't do the soups.

I have a goal in my head to hopefully be 170 which means I'd have to lose 3 more pounds. I don't know why my ticker is not showing, I made a change, oh well.
