Robin, that's so fantastic! And yes, start lifting those weight, you will be amazed how your body will start to take the shape you want it to. You are a true inspiration. Did you ever think you would be wearing a size 6 again, let alone a 4?!?!

Nope, not after trying so hard for so long. I used to lift weights quite a bit, when I was on Atkins the last time. I definitely got some definition, but I couldn't drop the pounds to save my life! So I'm very grateful to Medifast for helping me drop the extra weight, and I think now what I need most is definition.

I was SHOCKED that everything fit! I'm still half-convinced that either they won't fit tomorrow, or that it was all mis-sized. Except that would be three pairs of jeans from two different companies AND two pairs of shorts. So I know intellectually that it's not a mistake.

BTW, food for the day (which I'm quite proud of, because I was doing a lot of running around and then we had a huge storm tonight so I've had two terrified dogs pinning me down on the couch - but YAY for the rain!!!):

Chili with half a pack of crackers (2 bottles water)
RTD
Soy crisp "meal" - shhhhh (2 waters)
Steak, broccoli (2 waters) - I didn't weigh the meat for a change, but it was a bone-in steak that weighed a TON (16 oz) with the bone in. I ate less than half the meat and gave the rest to the dogs. Maybe 6 ounces, max, probably more like 5.
Oatmeal (1 water)
Pudding
RTD

Oops, almost forgot. Food for today (last posting was yesterday's food):

Oatmeal (2 waters)
Chili (2 waters)
Soy crisp "meal" (1 water)
Chicken breast/green beans (1 water)
Pudding (1 water)
RTD
Still to come, if I ever leave work ... Oatmeal or RTD

Wow!! I'm at 136.2 today!!!!!

Happy, happy day! Now if I could just get a dog sitter lined up for conference ... I thought I had one, but she's been very flaky about calling me back. I'm giving her till morning, and then I'm going to try to find someone else. Because if she's not reliable enough to call me back when she says she will, then she's definitely not reliable enough to care for my babies.

Oh, and more happy news. My Medifast shipment came before I got up this morning. And I ordered some stuff that I thought I had forgotten. So yay!!!

Woo Hoo!

Robin, it takes a LONG time for the brain to understand that the buns and belly are smaller...I still think I am el-huge-oh. Make new mental tapes and recite them often:

I love my body.

I am a slender healthy person.

I do the things that keep me healthy and strong.

For the next three hours, I will concentrate on doing all the things that keep me healthy and active. I enjoy drinking water. It feels good to stretch and tone my muscles...

Have fun trying on those new clothes! Yep, it's time for lifting those weights!
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...

I can't wait to meet you at convention! You inspire me to no end. Wow...a CHOICE of single digit sizes!! Could it possibly happen?

I remember the gal who ran the gastric bypass support group I attended with Mike a few years back; she talked about the fact that, even though she'd had her new body for 2 years, it was tough changing her mental concept and letting go of 30-year-old "tapes."

But it anyone's proof that it can happen, it's her Leopardness!! Thank goodness for an awesome role model and guide! It's also a role I see you in, Robin, as you encourage people here.
Here's to our mutual success! :buddies: --Diana

Thanks, Diana. You guys ALL inspire me.

I can't wait to meet everyone, too. Although if I don't find a dog sitter soon, I'm not going anywhere. Sigh. One of the people at my vet's office was going to stay, but I've been trying to reach her for days and she won't call me back. If I can't rely on her to call when she says she will, I sure don't trust her to stay with my babies.

As for today ...
136.6. Same food as yesterday (yay, my pudding came!).

I had a post enter three times about the same time you did yours. I think the site was having some problems today.

Hey Robin, too bad you are not closer to San Angelo ! I have two Jack Russell Terriers that are my babies. I understand how you feel. Luckily I have a wonderful kennel to leave them at when I have to travel. I would not trust them with anyone else. The lady that owns the kennel is from England and has the kennel on her property which has a security gate etc. She takes such good care of the animals that she keeps. Anyway if you are ever traveling this direction you could drop them off. Just a thought. :)

Thanks, Electra. Although my babies stay home, which is the problem. It's hard to find people to stay at my house with them. Out here, at least.

I did finally hear from the person, though. She's going to come Saturday to see the house and get keys, and we'll all be seeing her today when we go to the vet. So I think I'm all set for my trip. Yay.

Other than that, not much to report. 136.6 today.

Oh, and got my Victoria's Secret order last night. I've never, EVER gotten anything from there before, but they had a good catalog sale and I thought I'd give 'em a try. A friend recommended one of their bras, and I have to say, I tried it on and I LOVE it. And they have jeans that a) aren't so low-rise and b) supposedly are a little higher in the back to avoid "panty peek." They were out of the stretch and relaxed, so I got just regular ones ... and not only do the 8's fit, but they're a tad roomy, especially in the waist. So I guess at some point I'll have to believe that I really AM this size. And to show my confidence, I'm thinking of ordering 'em in a 6 while they're still marked down. Not that I need more clothes, but the jeans actually looked really good on. I tried 'em on and kept staring at my butt (and they're not even their special butt-flattering jeans, which only come in low-rise).

135, here I come!!

Same old, same old. 136.8, but I'm not worried. Seems to be my pattern these days.

Food yesterday, which I forgot to post:
Chili (2 bottles)
RTD
Soy crisp "meal," (2 bottles)
Lamb, green beans (2 bottles)
Pudding (1 bottle)
RTD
Missed my last meal because I fell asleep early

Today's plan:
Oatmeal (2 bottles)
Broccoli soup (2 bottles)
RTD
Soy crisp snack (1 bottle)
Chicken, green beans with tomatoes (1 bottle)
Pudding (1 bottle)
RTD
RTD or pudding or cocoa

I have to say, it's pretty cool. I've never gotten anything from VS before. The jeans aren't even stretch, but I wore them all night at work last night. I even turned around and made a friend look at my butt. Yeesh.
