What? You're nearly puddin'less, too?

I haven't had an nanner puddin' for a long time - it's on it's way though.

When it arrives, gonna have an Elvis in a crystal goblet: nanner puddin' with a drizzle of PB sugar-free syrup!

I know. Down to my last half a box of the chocolate, but I ordered a case this time so it won't happen again. Sigh. I just hope it shows up soon. I'm not fond of rationing!

137.8, with yet another sandbox issue going on two days now. I don't know WHAT is up with that lately, but it's getting pretty frustrating.

On the other hand, I can zip up my size 4 Aura jeans (don't get too excited; that's somewhere around a 6 or 7 in real jeans; I'm still in an 8 in pretty much everything else, although they're getting a little roomy).

The friend who was going to the outlets with me tomorrow bailed, but if the weather's OK, I think I'll go anyway. I don't know when I'll have another chance, and it looks like I'll be needing smaller jeans pretty soon.

Stuck to yesterday's plan exactly. Today's is basically the same, although I may try an extra oatmeal to get things, uh, moving again.

Dogma, I am so excited for you! Wowee! Such itsy bity clothes! I wanna get a hold of a pair of those Aura jeans - never heard of 'em...they would sure be an ego-booster on days when we feel flabby, eh? Sort of like going to Chico's and putting on a size one jacket or pair of pants!

Are Auras similar to Rockies?

I still do not have a pair of Rockies...I am so deprived, or is that depraved?

regarding the failure to flush...maybe we can hook you up with Csula 2004 in the Weight Loss Room with the embarrassing question along with & wildtrk who had an abundance of flushes:

Ha. Yeah, I saw her post. I'd trade places right about now; I HATE this bloated feeling.

The Auras are from Wrangler. Supposedly designed by and for women. They're ultra comfy, and they run at least a size bigger than the tag says - total vanity sizing, but why not?

And if you have a VF outlet nearby, they're usually only $8 there (they're $35 regularly, I think). Love them! (And I was thinking, if I could zip 'em up now, when I'm all bloated, I bet they'd be even closer to wearable if I were ... relieved.)

Hopefully things will move along very soon for you. The Oatmeal really helps...that's why I sometimes have 2-3 per day.

$8 for jeans, huh?

Wow! I want some. I have no idea what a VF outlet is so I doubt that we have 'em up north!

Happy shopping. Maybe you can stop for a Benefiber Break along the way!

It's an outlet store owned by Vanity Fair, so they carry Vanity Fair, Lee, Wrangler and some other brands. There's one in Centralia and one in North Bend; are those close to you?

OK, full disclosure. Slight deviation from yesterday's menu: I didn't feel like an RTD this afternoon so I went with the soy crisp "meal" I hate to mention on here. Maybe I should come up with some sort of code for it.

Had my last Greek salad for a few days, too, because I'm wondering if the cheese is what's causing my recent problem.

And if I don't see a change in my weight in the next few days, I'm going back to my old ways and having a cheat meal to get things moving again. Because staying compliant sure doesn't seem to work so well for me. (That isn't a license for anyone ELSE to cheat, though. I've discussed this at length elsewhere, and it's a very controlled cheat - and one that works for me but that I would never recommend to others.)

Ha. Thanks, Vicky. That's why I'm giving it a few more days. Want to wait till things are more ... regular. And yeah, not much cheese, but since I hadn't had ANY for the past year (well, except during my occasional off-plan adventures), I figure it might be the problem. It started a couple of weeks ago, which is also when I had my spinach-feta pie. So no low-fat feta for a few days, and I'll see if things improve. I SO want to hit 135 (so I'll be within 10 pounds of goal).

Yup, I concur...cheese sometimes causes pluggage. Some of us are more prone to it than others. Uh, that would be Leopard Woman! It isn't exactly a topic that is easy to bring up at the water cooler at work but it sure does make us feel lousy, eh?

Yup, Vicky, it does make a difference with the scale report, too.

In addition to having an extra packet or two of the oatmeal mentioned above ^, broccoli and spinach are also mighty movin' machines...

re: Aura jeans shopping info...Centralia is about an hour's drive north of our cottage here in Vancouver. North Bend is along the southern Oregon coast and quite a little jaunt. Thank you so much, Robin for supplying the mall locations. My husband may not be thrilled about having you share that with me, however!

Hey, but they're such a bargain!! I love going there for basics like that. And some of my underdoodies, too, as Leopard Woman would say.

I thought the spinach pie would help last week, actually. It usually has that effect on me because of all the spinach, but no such luck this time around.

And I promise, this concludes the TMI discussion.

Hey Robin,

I just wanted to comment on what you said to Zinkette in her journal about emotions. Thank you so much for saying that it's normal to be a mess in the beginning of this program.

When you said that I had a light bulb moment! Maybe that is what I have been going though. It's just emotions. Not sure if you have read my journal lately but I have been a basket cases, so up and down.

I think for me I second guess everything in this program and it's because I want to make excuses as to why it won't work for me. It's me being scared to commite.

Thank you thank you, I can't tell you how this makes me feel.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Thanks, Sharon. And believe me, I understand. In the beginning, I was convinced it wouldn't work for me, and I had a million reasons why. Then I was sure I'd never be able to maintain my loss. My early posts challenged EVERYthing on this program.

There are still things I wish were different, but the fact is it HAS worked, and at some point I've had to stop trying to control everything and just trust the program. And after being on it so long, and showing that I CAN control what I eat and when - including cheating and making sure it's controlled and doesn't turn into a huge bingefest - I'm starting to think maybe I CAN succeed at maintenance. Without spending my life feeling deprived.

Well. I didn't bother posting the weight this morning because I was up and out earlier than usual, to get to the outlet place for my goal-size clothes.

So here's the deal. I didn't try on anything because I assumed everything would still be too small and there'd be no point. So I got home and ... the size 4 Aura jeans fit. Maybe a little tight, but wearable. The size 6 (relaxed, but still) Lee jeans and shorts fit. The size-medium shirts that button down the front (always a problem for me) fit. The size-small T-shirts fit.

So I think it's finally time to start breaking up with the scale a little. I'm not going to stop weighing, and I'm not ready for maintenance. BUT I'm thinking it's time to focus more on exercise - and especially weight training and muscle work - even if it halts my weight loss on the scale. I obviously can't do a LOT of weight training on so few calories, but I want to at least start up again and see how it goes. I've already dragged in my weight bench and I'm going to start doing a few sets of crunches every other day, plus start using some weights when I do squats. I figure I'll start there and slowly try adding lifts till I get back to the full routine I was doing before Medifast. Because apparently I'm closer to goal than I thought.

Thanks, Vicky. I've concluded that just as I can't trust myself to know when I'm hungry, I can't trust myself when it comes to how I look, either. I have plenty of flab still, so I know I'm not done. But I'm apparently not as far off as I think when I look at myself.

I remember looking at the 6's a few sizes ago, and thinking maybe that was too small and I should shoot for 8 instead. But now they look big to me, and I have to stop myself from thinking maybe I should be a 2. Because I'm built kinda small, but not THAT small.

The good news is I think it's time to stop stressing about the number on the scale and just start working on tightening some things up.
