Cherry Blossoms at Dawn-Washington, DC 2007

Postby bikipatra » April 2nd, 2007, 5:05 am

I took a different route on my walk this morning and decided to capture the cherry blossoms while they are in bloom. As some of you may know, they only last about a week and are a pretty big deal around here! They have a Cherry Blossom Festival each year and here is my contribution. Extra points to the person who can spot my dog in one of the pictures!

I had to wait till I got home as the pictures did not load in at work - but wow. I can see why the cherry blossoms are such a big deal. I've never even seen pictures before. I guess if ever I go to Washington it should be in early April, eh?

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Thank you for sharing the pics. I presume Deisel walks with you in the morning? I love shepherds ... well, I love all animals.

I'm a bit sad right now--had to take my Tabby cat to the vet. He thought he could help me sew and swallowed a sewing needle!! Thank goodness I saw him do it before matters got worse. The vet is probably doing the edoscopy as I type this. I am worried. Sorry to bring it up but your dog made me think of him.

I am so sorry but glad kitty is getting help. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. But yes, I usually take Diesel on my morning walks and sometimes I allow that husband to come along too.

Thank you Biki, I appreciate that. I picked up Tabby at about 10:30 last night and he is doing much better this morning. :)

Well, sorry for not thinking of that! :D It's a scary thought - not meeting you! - but meeting anyone from the boards. I still have this little bit of anonymity here, and my brain always chimes in with 'if they REALLY knew you they wouldn't like you.' You know?

I'm very friendly and cheerful in person and talk a lot so I am easy to get to know. I had a great time with Alison when she came to visit but haven't seen her on the boards since! She hasn't even seen our pics that I know of...

I understand, but the people here are all in the same place as you. Believe it or not. I still think I am obese and think I will be judged differently than I am anywhere I go. Its a nice surprise when you are taken as the non-fat, or thin or "healthy" looking person now. Even with weight to lose, people I met from here were just kind caring people.
