Thanks for all your support - it really makes a difference.

I made it through the day - I think my l/g was bigger than it should have been, but I'm not splitting hairs since I successfully fought off the OVERWHELMING urge to binge.

I think it's starting to lift today, feeling a little more positive, and it wasn't as hard to get through the day. Hopefully I've turned the corner, the last few days haven't been easy and relief is WELCOME.

I'm glad your mood is starting to lift - I think you mailed it to me!! :lol: Don't worry about that L&G. It is far better to have more veggies, or an extra supplement, than binge or go off-plan. This is a journey and you don't have to be perfect every day, as long as you are truly trying. Congratulations on not giving in!

Definitely feeling better today. And spending some time thinking about what the last week has been like. And why I've learned an invaluable lesson. I can get through the tough times without eating and I feel really good about it. This Sunday is one month of compliance for me, and it's not worth ANY bad mood to throw that away.

tireddddddddddd.......... and ready for bed.

I'm disappointed in my first months results (13.6 pounds). I was thinking it'd be more like 20. I did measure myself today and found that I've taken 2.5 inches off my waist and 3 inches off my hips in the last 4 weeks. Thinking about it that way is MUCH more positive.

My weight loss has looked like this:
wk 1 - 7.8 pounds
wk 2 - 4.2 pounds
wk 3 - 0.2 pounds
wk 4 - 1.4 pounds

so my last 2 weeks have been tough.

Hopefully there'll be a pattern I can determine.....like I slow down for 'x' time and then it speeds back up again......that way I know I just have to get through the slow times.

I have to keep reminding myself that this isn't about the number on the scale from day to day - it's about creating a healthy body and taking care of myself.

well, I'm pretty much feeling defeated right now.

I had another tough week work-wise - that's why I haven't been here. BUT I have been compliant and guess what? I lost NOTHING this week. Exactly the same reading as last week. So for 3 weeks I have lost only 1.6 pounds. I'm not sure what to do, but I do know that I am not willing to continue this if this is going to be my loss rate.

I'm not even sure what to say, when I look at what calories I burn vs. what I'm taking in I HAVE to be losing weight, but I'm not. I lost very steadily the last time I did MF, and was expecting the same thing this time around. I don't know what to do at this point.

Since you are past your third week, have you added some exercise at all? I was just wondering, perhaps you had already mentioned it.

PINKIE BABY,
What you do is you just keep doing what you are doing! No ifs, ands or buts!
While you are slowly losing, you are losing.
Are your clothes fitting looser, and losing more inches?
Things will evenually fall into place and your plateau will say, Bye, Bye!
KEEP THE FAITH, DOLL, IT WILL WORK!

Carrie;

You said you had another rough week at work, too. Stress can make us hold on to the pounds. I know your schedule is hell right now, but you need to trust yourself and stick to the program until this passes. You WILL see a loss - if you are being compliant, there's no way you won't, eventually.

I KNOW how this feels - I KNOW you want to quit - but DON'T! We are here for you. Just remember you are taking care of your body. No loss is better than a gain, and a gain while being compliant is better than a gain eating garbage. Someone very wise told me that once....

Get it all out here on the forum. Call a friend and gripe. Do whatever you have to do but stay on program. You will feel so much better if you do!

Nickie has made an EXCELLENT point. I hope you hang in there. MF works. It worked for you before and it will work for you again. You just need to get over this hump.

I like what Biki said about exercise too--it does not have to be much more than a 20-min walk to get your metabolism going in the morning. :treadjog:

Hi Carrie...sweetie DON'T give up..i know how you are feeling because i'm losing rather slow myself. It's hard not seeing the scale go down sometimes, but like you said, it's not about the scale but about your health, and i have to keep on reminding myself of this too...look at the "inches" you've loss as a true indicator that some changes HAVE been made. Hang'n there girl..i know it will get better:+))

Love,

Hi Carrie~ I know you must be so frustrated. But......I agree with everyone......don't give up. You WILL lose the weight. It has to come off.

I wish I could just reach right through this screen and give you a big hug. :hugblue:

Hang in there, Carrie.

Carrie;

How are you doing? I noticed you haven't had a new post in your journal in a while, but maybe you've been posting elsewhere and I missed it. I hope you're still hanging in there!
