Hi!
Happy New Year!
I've ordered my supplies and can't wait to receive them and get started! I've been reading some of the posts and see some great inspiration here.
I look forward to getting to know you!

Good luck, Sue! The first 3 days are the toughest, but it is worth the effort, I promise!

Push through, think thin thoughts, and smile - you're doing a great thing for yourself!

Hi Sue,

Don't forget the first 3 days are the worst :)

Oh, and if you ever get the idea of abandoning, try to give the plan 3 weeks. If, after 3 weeks, you don't notice a difference, then you can abandon :D

You can do it :D :D

Getting Started

Postby Jan » January 4th, 2006, 5:34 pm

Hi Sue,
Be sure and read read read the "Quick Start" booklet. It will get you started off right and help you with the program. Don't add to or take away from and be sure and eat every 3 hours. You will do great and soon the pounds will be parting.

I bet Susan is a neighbor to the north of me -- I bet she is in San Luis Obispo. Am I right am I right am I am I am I?

And "soon" is grand! I love the first week of Medifasting. The sometimes slaggy feeling of the first three days (and I'm usually so busy I don't even notice) is well worth the immediate response on the scale. I'm starting Day 3 here on my re-start, and the scale is already down 5 and a half pounds! Now I know what will happen at week 3, and all about the "water weight" thing, but it sure is motivating to stay with the program until it becomes such a habit that it's easier to stay on it than it is to go off it.

Sue, good luck to you! This program works if you let it work -- that's a guarantee.

Wow!

Postby SueInSLO » January 5th, 2006, 1:16 pm

Look at all the great support already and I haven't even started.

So...the first 3 days are tough huh!?!?! Oh great!!! I'm nervous as all get out, but I'm gonna do this. I have been cutting back already and eating veggies and protein such as eggs, chicken, etc. the past few days. I'm a Low Carber since 2003 so giving up the fat I imagine will be the toughest part??? Ya think?? I am open to all suggestions and help.

24K you're right!! Hi neighbor. I'm in San Luis Obispo. Love it, love it, love it!!

A little about me. I'm getting married on March 18th THIS YEAR!! I'm 50 and it's bad enough being an OLD bride, I don't want to be a heavy bride too! :yay: I wanna dance at my wedding and feel better about me. So, I'm gonna MF and get my butt back in gear. I need to lose about 70 pounds, but will be happy with whatever comes off between now and March 18th. Hoping for 30 pounds by then and I'm gonna do my best!!

That's my story for now and I'm sticking to it! Thanks again for the encouraging words, looking forward to getting to know lots of you.

Hey, Sue, I'm gonna tell you a little secret. :secret: .....if you're motivated, the first 3 days are a breeze. Sure, I had all the symptoms, but for me, they were indications that I was doing it right. I had the head ache on the 3rd day, felt shaky, had the tummy growls, etc...but that made me happy because things were working according to plan. Don't sweat it. You'll do just fine. And you have us. Don't forget to come here with your troubles.

SueInSLO ~

You are NOT old! :x Dang!

The best part of my life started when I was 53 and had my first Medifast shake!

I prefer to refer to myself as 'experienced!' So I've celebrated my 50th birthday 8 times already. You will be beautiful bride!

You have about 70 days until your wedding... 30 pounds is doable IF you choose wisely every two to three hours! It will be a challenge, depending upon your current health and medication conditions, it is not impossible to do it or to come mighty close to it.

re:
I'm nervous as all get out, but I'm gonna do this.

Don't be scared. You can do anything for 72 hours!

Sheesh! Three days and you are on your way to being a thinner more experienced bride!

Sue, I am totally in agreement with Serendipity! I felt sort of light and airy the first 3 days. In a fog? Definitely. But it was a good fog! :-) Every symptom I had reminded me that I was doing something really cool.

You are going to rock. And while weightloss is totally personal, and everyone loses at a different pace, it is totally possible for you to lose the 30 pounds in 70 days. Make sure you know a great tailor to fix your wedding dress up until the very last day!

Best of luck!

Yes, I AM movitivated!!! So maybe the first 3 days will fly by! I can hope!

Sorry about the OLD comment! I don't feel old at all. 50 is NOT old, I was just making a semi-joke of being married at 50. Hope I didn't offend anyone. :hammerhead:

Also, my health is good and I am only on one medication for blood pressure. I just started that a few months ago. So, I will stick to it and get 30 pounds OFF before the wedding! I am determined!!!!! I will do this!
I'll also be here for your advice!! I can tell already that............
:yourock:

Thanks!!!!!!
Back to work!
